Heyo, guys!
I’m looking for recordings of the old Verizon Weatherline for the Washington DC metro area (number was (202) (301) or (703) 936-1212).
Specifically:
• Human announcer (not TTS)
• Includes the computerized female voice prompt “brought to you by Verizon”
• Distinctive upbeat opener: “GoooooooOOOD morning!”
• Likely early-mid 2000s, pre-shutdown (service terminated 1. July 2008)
• Often remembered as voiced by “Neal” (Neal Pizzano) - usually he was on between 4:15 and 7:00am
I’ve already found one authentic Weatherline clip (~2008) from the DC metro area, but it’s lacking the classic „GoooOOD morning!“. Checked Internet Archive, YouTube, etc. - no dice.
-> the one under (202) 936-1212
Even a partial or unlabeled clip would be great! I’m really just looking for the „extra“ bits, the „gooood morning!“, „gooood evening!“, the St. Patrick’s day forecast in Irish brogue… those sorts of bits and bobs.
Honestly if anyone has any of these from any time after about 2002-ish, I’d love to hear them - one of those „unlocked nostalgia memories that you’ve not thought of in two decades“ would be much satisfied.
TIA!! :)
