I was feeding aqueon shrimp pellets, which were just okay. I’m using tetra catfish and loach wafers in the meantime, but this little guy gets a bubble butt almost every time. They’re also getting some hikari algae flakes because they’re greedy and like to take from the minnows. I’d like to get them something nice, because I have more of a budget than I used to.

Any recs for good loach food?

  • They like worms and pre soaking food can help with bloat. Some of the repashy gel foods aren't terrible. Variety helps as well.

  • Algae wafers and bloodworms

  • My dojos would probably eat anything, but here are healthy suggestions that are hits. Dry/freeze dried: Bug bites, hikari's daphnia, New life spectrum freshwater, hikari bottom feeder food Frozen: blood worms, daphnia, brine shrimp, beef heart Fresh that's parboiled: squash, pumpkin, zucchini, cucumber They looooove fresh live brine shrimp if you can get them.

  • I feed a large mix of things and one of mine was prone to floaty butt when I first got him but no longer has that issue so hopefully I’m doing something right lol.

Hikari VibraBites (mostly for my Killis but they love them too lol) Hikari MicroPellets Hikari Sinking Wafers Fluval Bug Bites Bottom Feeder rounds (Algae Crisps, I think they are) Fluval Bug Bites pellets (basically all and any kind, think I have three different varieties (tropical, bottom feeder, and color enhancing)

Plus frozen Mysis and Daphnia occasionally. Plus Zucchini occasionally.

I also do a fast day twice a week.

They seem fat and happy lol.
