"Bad things happen on good work results" Abnormalities are the kind of thing the memory repository system exists for. Get all the information and gear from them and then immediately rewind to before those awful things ever entered your facility.
tbh if this was actually in lob corp it'd probably be a gear with a stat cap instead of a stat requirement, like 'Must have less than 3 Instinct', since that's basically how lob corp measures attunement gameplay-wise
alternatively it's just LCE's cruder extraction method making the gear a security risk to wear, maybe a lobcorp version won't have this issue

I mean, the Wayward Passenger is a guide (albeit, quite the violent one), so... maybe it's still an employee mentally? Or at the very least, wanting to assist. It wanders those dimensions looking for other people, and when people enter its containment room it's like ringing a bell at the help desk. Since entering the other dimensions also has effects on it (refer to passives, like passing throuh electrifying dimension giving it more coin power), its preferences to its treatment probably also change due to it being affected mentally as well.
I do like how the researchers are playing lobcorp while we're playing limbus. It makes the abnormalities really easy to mod into lobcorp if someone wanted to. not that I'd want to see faelantern anywhere near my facility that thing is poison and it only gives TETH benefits? Get outta here. At least wayward passenger just makes you rotate the most effective work type whenever you work on it. And ebony queen just has different combat behavior, it seems.
Faelantern sounds like it should be an ALEPH from it's containment measures. Imagine dealing with this bitch of an abnormality only for it to squeeze out the measly amount of Enkephalin a TETH gives.
