This megathread is intended for people asking for help, or short questions about gameplay or lore, that don't need long discussions.
The purpose of this thread is (hopefully) to keep such questions in one place, rather than having a lot of separate threads littering the subreddit and potentially making it harder to find other content.
Example of questions suitable for this megathread:
- "Is X identity any good?"
- "What EGOs are good to uptie?"
- "I'm stuck on a level! How do I beat it?"
- "How do I use [mechanic]?"
Please bear in mind, some questions can be answered by the links found in the FAQ, on the subreddit wiki,.

So I wanted to ask, how does one use the si branch IDs properly? ._.
The same as any other heishou ID.
You need to get their personal buff, and you get said buff from either their guard or their S3. For the Si specifically, this gives them their Serpert Arm which lets them actually generate poise.
This is why when you're using the heishou team, your first turn is always using everyone's guard/counter (except lord Lu). This way everyone gets their buff immediately, and you get the gluttony sins to activate their passives.
Depending on the team order, sometimes you do want to use lordlu's counter t1 as it's a free 35 sp and s3 on the incoming heishou
Hey im stuck on Don Quixote and i just don't know what to do I've tried using my full team and I just get mollywhopped by his unbreakable mass attacks and I've tried solo don W/ W Corp don ID but my evade just fails on the first turn and I get staggered and killed by the bleed anyway what do i do
Solo’s whole schtick is that it’s extremely RNG reliant. If you want to continue with solo strats in the future then be aware that it’ll take dozens upon dozens of attempts.
IDs that have tanky kits (first stagger bar appears late, innate healing, innate shields, innate resistances) are great against the more poke oriented gameplay that unbreakable skills throw at us.
This following advice more so applies to single target unbreakable skills, but be very mindful of the damage type of the unbreakable skills throw that you’re clashing with, as well as the resistances of the sinner who’s clashing with it. It’s the difference between a broken skill dealing 20 damage, 10 damage, or just 5 damage.
On the other hand AOE unbreakable skills often have the clash lose condition of “deal -50~80% less damage” and/or “prevents targets from being staggered”. So it’s especially important to win against these skills. It may not look it, but the resulting damage isn’t a whole lot. Even if it says like “50 damage done” when you see it hit, you have to keep in mind that that damage is often split among all 6 sinners. So that 50 is more like 8 damage individually.
Thx for the info I was genuinely so malded and just calling him a dogshit boss cause whats the point of winning a clash just staggered half my team anyway
Hey there I'm a new player and I just got the s1 identity ticket. Which identity is the best for me right now?
We can't really say which is the best for you right now, since we don't know what you have.
For example, normally NClair is the best one since he still deals good damage nowadays, but if you already have a Sinclair 000 ID then its better to get someone else.
https://preview.redd.it/ohhdu2gfdtag1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=42cf5922884daefcbdecd9e509b87de469a08523
Oh yea, NClair is definitely your best bet. He's a good generalist (he can meet his conditionals without much help), and has most of his damage alreayd at uptie 3.
N.Sinclair, have good damage
N.Faust, have bleed count and good sps heal passive
TT Hong Lu, have good damage
I would pick Sinclair unless you have another sinclair id
* Well I would choose N.Faust for the bleed but I already have shi associ. East section 3. Faust. So I guess Sinclair is the best pick since I don't have a 000 Sinclair yet.
N Sinclair is the best and most recommended, unless you already have a very strong Sinclair id.
I'm an overly new player, literally just made an account 10 minutes ago and pulled. I am ignorant and have not read anything aside from the game tutorial, do I keep?
https://preview.redd.it/b50b8w4yosag1.jpeg?width=2712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2619bc1de03c20f586c6da7569228259e274f9d6
Index Proselyte is new so we aren't 100% sure how good she is but she looks quite good (and since she's a newer ID, the game's slow power creep means she'll be great in the earlygame). Rosespanner Meursault is pretty bad. T Corp Rodion is not amazing but definitely useable. Devyat Sinclair is solid but doesn't generally see use lategame. Firefist is amazing. Pequod Yi Sang is habitually underrated; quite good.
Overall, could be better, but will serve you very well through most of the story. Getting old IDs via sharding them is very approachable in this game, so I wouldn't worry too much about having good starting pulls.
I see, I'm quite used to rerolling due to the general nature of gacha games and I wanted to try a game with a grimmer story I'll see if this sticks, so far I really like the art style and combat
Good luck and have fun!
What EGO should i shard for Ryoshu? I only have Red Eyes (Open)
Contempt is the best however it’s a WAW designed around TS4 so it’s actual cost is like 300 thread and 550 ryoshu shards
I'd say Contempt, Awe is her only "generalist" ego, though it's mainly suited for longer fights / railways. Anything else is more so situational / team dependent.
Edit: I could also see an argument for 4th Match Flame, even outside of burn teams as an emergency high clash option with a passive that can have some use.
Thanks, a good emergency option is probably what i need the most.
Yo so uh question, i have never played limbus before but the characters and lore look super interesting but i wanna know what the gameplay is like cause i dont wanna play a game that bores me to death just cause i think dante looks cool
The gameplay is a relatively simple "auto" battler in concept, but has several points where mechanical depth is exponentially deeper
In the simplest terms, you have your team of 12 characters, each having a unique inventory of movesets called "identities" that you can swap, and in most fights, you simply drag a chain along your available skills to have your sinners use them automatically once you press the start button
https://preview.redd.it/zpfe3xjgfsag1.png?width=1545&format=png&auto=webp&s=0a757acdf56a1329d9658bdc9147bf2a106cdf2a
However, most of the 'meat' of the gameplay comes from 'focused' encounters, where instead of dragging the chain along and having the sinners autotarget, you get to drag each skill to an opponent to decide who to attack, this opens up a whole lot more dynamics in combat alongside other mechanics which are too many to list in a simple explanation, I reccomend you watch esgoo's combat tutorial for a better explanation on the mechanics
alright it seems like it requires enough thought to be interesting thank you
Is using T.P.O.L.M. Gregor with Fanghunt Hong Lu's support passive a stupid idea? (I don't have a decent bloodfiends team, so I'm just throwing this question out here on the internet)
Gregor inflicts self-Bleed right before he rolls his coins, Hong Lu's passive isn't doing anything.
LF: Friends - Looking for a few friends with a lv1 lantern Yi so i can find him quicker.

Hey guys, Happy New Year!
There is an achievement in mirror dungeon that goes like this: "Clear a mirror dungeon at Floor 5 or higher with 0 Cost when exiting the store on you final floor", but its a bit unclear when to exit.
Do I finish after I exit the store right away or I have to finish the boss at the end of the floor as well?
"when exiting the store" being the key words here. It doesn't consider the Cost you gain from the boss as long as you don't enter the following floor. Either should work.
Thank u! So the main thing is not going to the next floor here.
I don't know how i'm supposed to beat wei. This horse bastard is driving me insane, none of what I have tried works and I keep losing clashes to him ok turn 1 even with level 60 uptie 4 season 6 ids. Does anybody have any tips or tricks? Or will I just have to grind mirror dungeon and such to get better ids?
Also consider the extra EGO resources for your first three clash wins each turn, even more if the skills were Wrath/Gluttony. Depending on speed RNG, you may be able to fuel EGO for Turn 2.
If you're already using season 6 ids, there aren't really better ids available tbh, since the season 6 ids already fall into the category of best ids in the game. The fight can be pretty swingy for the first 2-3 turns, so if you're desperate, it's worth just resetting each time the first 2 turns don't go well with winning clashes.
Turn 1 Superbia into a sp healing ego (fluid sac, ya sunyata) and HOPE that the rng gods hear your prayers and please do not use sinking cause that's an instant loss
i did some pulls on a whim and ended up with Manager Don.
how far will a ragtag team of her, index faust, kurakumo ryoshu, base rodion (bleed + indigo for fueling faust ego) and hong lu (addtl sinking applicator + indigo for ego) go? i ask just so i know where to stop before i go into passive grinding mode.
I understand mancha don is quite good, and it gives me dispense targets to go for; i just dont want to waste my time delving into further story content if im gonna hit a brick wall anyway, when i couldve used the time to farm upties and whatnot
currently halfway thru canto 3's base mission (not the dungeon)
Manager Don and Index Faust are good. You should look into replacing your base IDs with better alternatives when you get the change. If you enjoy the story then I’d just play it normally, unless you pick up the combat mechanics really quickly you’ll hit a brick wall eventually anyways. Plus progressing the story gives you access to better stages for grinding Exp and thread. Again though just play normally
Ugh, well, fair enough. Ill keep going with the story until i actually hit a wall, then ill worry about upties.
I have 2 weeks before i can actually farm shards anyway, heh. Thanks
How would a bleed team without KK duo look like? Is prince meur + ring sang + n ryoshu + bloodfiends a viable team?
Yes
How to beat Jia QIu? I tried to solo with borrowed Maost with fluid sac and tingtang Hong Lu but Maost always flopped on Jia Qiu's heishou linkstrike skill. Any ideas how?
Don’t be afraid to bring in more IDs. More Sinners means more health to withstand poke. It also lets you have more damage type resistances to work with
https://preview.redd.it/e83vlobvirag1.jpeg?width=1366&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf1eedbfaa5394826c6341622e1f6773f056edb1
Hello there, is this good, or should I reroll? I'm kind of new to this game; I've been playing this for like 3 or 4 days. And currently I'm in Canto 3, and it's rough that makes me question that i might done somethng wrong. I don't know if I pulled a good ID or if it's a skill issue.
I would reroll. Try for the two new units.
For the story dungeons, is there a point to clearing every room, or should I pick a path to the exit and stick with it?
It depends on the dungeon. Some dungeons have certain paths that give ego gifts that are really useful for fights (Like in Canto 3,8). Dungeons that don't have many paths (Ie straight line) should be obvious just to go foward
What's a good ryoshu ID to place as a dummy in my sinking team? I don't think I have any of the evade ones...
Ignoring any evade ones (since you mentioned you dont have them) it's probably drifting blade followed by heishou, because they would consume only 1 count using defence every turn.
She doesn't even have a sinking ID.
Not all characters have options for every status, and even if they do, they're not all viable.
That's why it's a dummy, I just need to have her in for story stages and not bother the sinking stack.
Maid Ryoshu can dodge.
Otherwise just use whatever, as long as you have KoD Rodion and any of the butlers (both at once is preferable) the stack will survive.
Maid Ryoshu has evade and 2 coin each skill
I want to know what's the soundtrack's name in Outis udjat uptie story. Thanks in advance
When will mirror dungeon s7 come? I am a new player and I thought it would come when new season starts and had hence stopped grinding for the triple 000 extraction ticket at lv 80 but it seems it will come later on...
Cantos are divided into 3 parts, with each new part releasing after a week (so part 3 comes out on the 15th). The new Mirror Dungeon usually comes out a couple of weeks after part 3 of the canto comes out, so late January or early December.
After canto part 3 drops, so around Feburary.
How do I kill Ren and Albina? I'm currently stuck on 9-18 and I'm dumbfounded
I've got SalsuSang, ChiefButlerRyoshu, DieciSault, and PreistGregor (all lvl 60)
Can swap SalsuSang for Fell Bullet, W Corp, or First Mate
Can swap ChiefBuletRyoshu for LCCB Assistant Manager or Kurokumo Wakushu
would rather not swap if i dont have to cuz only those four are lvl 60
Focus on killing Ren first, do this by depleting his poise count. You do this by having Gregor and Meursault guard his skills twinstrike and triplestrike. You probably want to make sure you win all. This will completely neuter Moonlit Azure blade gain as it relies on generating poise potency past 25. From there Albina should be easy.
Edit: Also don't forget to always deal with his defend and reflect to minimize his poise count gain, but those skills are luckily pretty easy to clash with. Also note that for gaurding twinstrike and triplestrike Ren should have at least 15 poise potency to make sure he actually crits.
The Gimmick is this, you want ever skill to target the first guy's defense skills. If you don't he gains too much poise. You are aiming just to clash win every turn.
You can not offset block guy's skills btw as its combat start. Best thing to do is stack a status (But I don't know your status)
For The second person, you just want to clash (Or evade/defense) win the envy skill as it doesn't do much. When she is using the her Lust skill thats big just have fastest units clash with other skills so she does no damage.
Tl;Dr: Just clash win sanity, always have 1 sinner targetting each of blockma skills
I gave your team a try and it's doable but quite rough lol... Maybe it's a bit better with lv 60 IDs.
https://preview.redd.it/wvkumbfahrag1.png?width=1599&format=png&auto=webp&s=4fa00df096d2a9bfb0bdfc91d4c8ef5b576674cd
- Use Morositas on turn 2 to help with clashing and build your sanity.
- Clash with Ren's clashable defense skills to slow down his poise gain. Other that just keep hitting him until you reach his first stagger bar.
- As for Albina the only things to look out for are her Repressed Flesh and maybe Iron Curtain skills. Read the descriptions to know what to do.
- I recommend borrowing a better Mersault or Gregor ID to make your life easier. If you don't have any friend let me know.
Alright. So the bp is locked for like, 2 weeks. Does this mean any exp towards it wont count, or will i get insta levels once they unlock.
insta levels as they unlock
cool, thanks!
Hi there, I'm planning to jump into Limbus Company but I'm not sure if this is the best time to start (in case theres some sort of incoming event or anniversary coming up). I'm going in blind, so not super sure if theres a valuable character to aim for a good start.
Insight would be very much appreciated if its a good time to start in the game, thanks!
There are 3 points in time it makes sense to start playing.
1) the start of the season. The reason for this, is the value of the battlepass is better the more you play of the season so if you intend to buy the battlepass now is the best time, but this is only if you intend to pay for the battlepass.
2) the start of a new intervallos or reruns of intervallos. These kinds of events provide loads of important resources, they also give players free IDs. This will give you strong kick start through the early parts of the game.
3) the start of a non-generic Walpurgisnacht. Walpurgisnacht should happen about every 2 months, but should flip between generic and non-generic. non-generic Walpurgisnacht IDs tend to have very strong banners, while also providing resources, though to a lesser extent than intervallos, Walpurgisnacht IDs can also only be obtained when a Walpurgisnacht event is active. If you're the type to reset until you get a account this is the prime time to do so.
The start of the season was yesterday and usually takes around 5-6 months.
The next non-generic Walpurgisnacht is probably sometime in early february.
Next intervallo is likely sometime in late february to early march
Thanks for the breakdown! Very much appreciated.
Since 2 and 3 seem to be estimated within February, and I plan to F2P, would it still be viable to start now to get to know the game and potentially make a new account in February for reroll purposes? What got me interested was the magical girl banner and Arknight collab, so hopefully in the future those reruns happen.
The amount progress you would make in a month, would in my opinion, make it not worth it to reroll accounts, but it would depend on how much you play.
Everything Arknights related is gone forever due to contractual obligations, which sucks because it was great.
The magical girl banner is a Walpurgisnacht ID so a rerun would not be before february, if you start playing now and save your crates and Don Quixote shards you should be able to shard magical girl Don when it comes.
Thats unfortunate for the Arknights collab, but thank you again so much for clarifying. I just started and I'm enjoying the story so far!
I would say best time to start is now. Season just started and first part of latest canto droped (part 2 and 3 will be released in folowing weeks) but there isnt really an event atached to it.
Only semi-limited characters thing in the game is an event called Walpurgisnight, which allows obtaining of certian ids and egos during the event period. We dont know when the next one will be.
Game is easy enough to not need doing this but if you want to re-roll your acount untill you get something very strong I would recomend one of the following; Mao Branch Adept Faust, Lord of the Hongyuan Hong Lu or Thumb East Capo IIII Meursault.
Unless you’re going to reroll your account, the best time to start any gacha is right now. Currently the newest chapter of the game released just a few days ago, so there’s a lot of buzz around the game right now. Any character released recently should do you fine, generally as a new player just roll on the latest banner until you get the featured IDs. Continue doing this until you have a decent ID for every single one of your characters. Once you get through the story you can start saving your pulls for specific events.
Question on team building. I want to make a bleed team, but can’t decide which units to use. Kurokumo or Bloodfiends. I have some of the units mentioned, but I still have 3 more IDs for each. My question is: Which team I should go for and grind for remaining identities.
Kurokumo team: I have Ishmael, and Middle Sinclair&Don. I intend to get Heath, Rodya, Ryoshu and maybe Gregor from Kurokumo to complete the team.
Bloodfiends: I have Meursault and Outis, to complete the team I’d need Manager Don, Rodya, and Gregor.
Which team is better?
The meta picks suggested are good, so to complete your team you would want to get KK heathcliff to complete the KK Duo (As they both get buffed if there is 2 kk units, which they count). These 2 units will be your bleed potency engine as long as you have 3-4 lust resonance every turn
After that you want to get Manager Don to get your payoff for bleed, she is also good for bleed count if you spam defense skill.
Then you can decide to get the meta picks or mix and match some bleed count units. Thought season 1-2 bleed units will need uptie 4 to be effective.
Examples of bleed count units:
N Faust (Only works for uptie 4, but great support passive for bleed team)
Hook Lu (Walpurgisnact, but he only needs uptie 3)
R Meursalt (He can do 10-14 bleed count per rotation, but too slow at uptie 3. At uptie 4 he can do things)
Ring Outis (Least investment needed for bleed count, but you are losing barber outis so no go)
KK Ryoushu (Bad clashing, good bleed count with KK Ish passive dark cloud burst)
So gl with team building
The actual answer is a mix of the two. Basically, not all characters of both factions are actually good.
The core of the team is manager Don, princess Rodion, prince Meursault, KK Ishmael and KK Heathcliff.
The last 2 slots are contested by N corp Ryoshu, ring Yi Sang, barber Outis and priest Gregor. Which 2 you choose depends on the fight.
Team I use is following, which works for me but might not be the meta. (Not nececarily in deployment order)
Manager Don,
Princes Rodion,
Prince Sault,
KK Heath,
KK Ishmeal,
N.Ryoshu,
Ring Sang.
This is the team I use, but I swap out Ring Sang for either Bloodfiend Outis or Gregor if I'm in an unfocused encounter to get access to green so I can use Don's WAW.
Personally, I find it more enjoyable than pure Bloodfiend.
Wait.....I Can't save my who shards? I had nearly 500 Don Quixote shards and now I have Only 210 cause Only a part can be carried to the next Season? Ok, now that really sucks cause Holy shit, só much effort for This?
https://preview.redd.it/nyl0imkvwqag1.png?width=2388&format=png&auto=webp&s=b31946376bdc1780085b3af2eebd7f9f9a2b449f
It does say in the extraction page, youll get used to it
I was saying for Bloodfiend Don for when she turned avaliable. Need to Farm half of the needed shards again.
The game tealls you this. The last 2 patch notes (which are also in the game) also told you this. And every other comment in here was people reminding others of this.
Next time, I really recommend at least reading the patch notes on their socials or the announcements tab in the game.
It sucks, but at least you know now and won't repeat this mistake in future seasons.
But what's the point If I Can't save them for Future IDs? I means I either use them in something I don't want or let them to away like nothing. What about The time used to Farm them?
Because at the end of the day its still a gacha game, it needs to induce FOMO in some way or form. By putting an expiration date on shards and crates, you have to keep coming back to farm for the new stuff. So you either shard something else that may still have some use, or try to keep the number of crates and shards low to minimize your loss.
Again, you should've known better, you had a myriad of ways of learning about this ahead of time.
And what's the point? You farm for getting stuff you need now. If you want something from an upcoming season, you farm during that upcoming season.
What's the best team for consistent MDE 50 adversity?
I only have a tremor team right now, so I don't have much experience or knowledge about other teams. My guess would be that Poise/Tremor are the best teams, but again, I don't know anything about other teams.
Bl poise/rupture poise/bleed poise/tremor/charge. All of these 5 are braindead during the fight assuming you know which floor to hunt for
For actual full teams, easily rupture poise.
In all my adv 50 runs with this team I just win-rated all the way up to floor 14, and in floor 15 it was just making sure my stronger characters attacked unopposed, didn't even need to use EGOs.
You can also do solo runs, which are technically easier but require way more knowledge to pull off.
Is there any other downsides if I wait for all parts of season 9 to release to start the new canto, besides the locked luxcavation?
Just be mindful of doing anything online, people generally are loose lipped or careless with spoilers
No
T corp outis or udjat for tremor team?
In MDN, Udjat since Time Moratorium will slow you down. In MDE and any other content, T Corp
T Corp and it's not even close because Udjat is a sinking unit with a sprinkle of tremor rather than the other way around
Can someone that places permanently Full Stop Hong Lu or Full Stop Hearthcliff add me on the friendlist?
R863817646
(Alternatively I could add you, if you really wish.)
I got almost all the walp IDs and Collab Egos (except for meltdown Faust) on the respective sinners and some burn IDs just because. Do note that I haven't got them all to lvl 60 yet so some of them may be under leveled.
Thank you!
So... Do I take the bonus for this MD or do i wait and when is the new mirror dungeon gonna drop?
MD7 isnt gonna drop until after part 3
The battlepass has switched over to the new one, so there's no reason to save your runs anymore
The next MD will come likely around a month or two from now
It seems that I can't for the love of god avoid red coins. But does it clashing with it, winning and "fracturing" them at least diminish the damage? Or should I put everybody on defense mode?
Along with what successful said, you should also have someone resistant to the skill’s damage type clash with the unbreakable skill. Most unbreakable skills will have conditionals that only activate when unbroken, and really nasty unbreakable skills will have a conditional that says something like “if broken, deals -80% damage” on top of reducing its coin power.
Winning a clash against a red coin nullfies the +/- portion of it to be respectively +1/-1. So a red coin with a base power of 4 with a +2 is guaranteed to only roll a 5.
Often times, enemies will have a condition that will only work if it the coin isn't cracked so it's in your best interest to do so.
Specifically any broken coins roll with a +1 coin power*
I just started a month ago and just now unlocked Refraction Railways, should I just ignore it until my account has more strong unit. Most of the sinner only have one lvl 55 ids.
You can tackle RR1 Bokgak with your strongest IDs. It shouldn't be that hard even with the buffs some of them got.
For RR5, you do need at least 24 different IDs because of the way this Railway works specifically. That includes base IDs, so at least 12 more IDs besides them. You can't use the same team you used in the first section for the second section, so it requires you to have a fair amount of properly-leveled IDs.
Is Index Faust good?
I got 1 pull ticket leftover in my inventory and just kinda use it and got her without much of a plan
I doubt she's better than BL Faust or Shi Faust in poise but is she good in Sinking?
To add on, being poise count negative isn't as big of a deal as damaging statuses esecially in a poise team. If anything, it would be like a charge where you build it up for big damage on one turn (albeit a bit harder to manage).
Also, unlike N Corp Yi Sang, basically breathing gives her poise, so she will need 2~3 turns to build up enough poise to crit for 2~3 rounds.
She's a sinking potency beast, but she needs major support in the form of her own Thoracalgia as well as Butler Ryoshu's support passive to be able to actually maintain her poise count and subsequently not be massively sinking count negative
On a Solemn Lament team she should be fantastic as long as you can provide her with the aforementioned support, but a Spicebush team cares more about simply stacking sinking and deluging it and in that case Butler Faust is better
As for poise teams, BL Faust and Shi Faust are already pretty bad IDs so she can't possibly be worse than them
hey guys does panic type stacks? like if I inflict the ruins from WH and bluesand from udjat, when the enemy panic would the effect stacks.
The debuffs that cause the panic type to change do stack, but only 1 panic type can be applied at a time
How much lunacy should I save to get a strong Ishmael or don identity? I have 9k rn and they both have good egos but my luck is awful
Just shard ids.
To get a gurantee for any id you need 26,000 lunacy, 200 pulls. But only the rate up id or ego on the banner you spent the pulls on can be obtained this way.
Is it worth completing the thread / exp dungeon for the BP daily quest, or should I just put the energy toward MD's?
if you are just going after bp levels then no
but exp and the thread is worth it
Definitely run Luxcavations. Not only will you need plenty of Thread and EXP for IDs, but it's also more efficient in terms of your real-life limited time on this Earth.
I want to shard middle Sinclair but I don’t have enough shards and I don’t want to farm for it. Is there anyway I can use lunacy or smth to pay for it
Pull using lunacy -> dupes turn into shards -> use shards to dispense.
Alternatively, if you're a masochist, turn lunacy into energy -> spend energy on mirror dungeons -> get shard crates from mirror dungeon -> open shard crates and pray. This option will only work once we get the rest of the battle pass unlocked, though.
You can pull on the Standard banner for a 0.0408% chance of pulling him or wait until Sinclair's target extraction where you will have a 0.0220% chance of pulling him
How good do the new outis and faust seem for their respective teams?
Haven't had the chance of testing Udjat Outis (no friends who have her :c) but I did test Index Faust.
She's good in Poise. For Sinking she's great, in a similar way to Hanafuda Ishmael. Fast SP gain and good amount of coins for triggering Sinking.
"Count negative" is a non-issue because Knight Rodion + Echoes is a thing, and since she applies Sinking multiple times per skill Echoes easily makes her count neutral, or even count positive if she crits.
She also applies a nice amount of Sinking potency, which is more valuable considering Count is already well-covered, and all it takes is a little ramp-up:
By default her skills do +1(+2 if crit)/+2/+2 potency, which looks lame (12 per rotation) but hitting the Prescript's target inflicts an extra +1 Sinking, and it triggers multiple times per turn with higher Grace. At 9 Grace her skills also inflict +1 more Sinking. So the potency generation is actually fairly high.
And how hard is it to reach 9 Grace? Not at all. She gets 3 Grace as long as she targets a marked enemy, so she'll be at 6 Grace in 2 turns, and then using S3 or EGO on a marked enemy is enough to reach 9 Grace.
She does have some issues with maintaining Poise count, but this isn't as bad as it sounds. Only the last coin needs to crit and at 9 Grace her skills and passive give her enough Poise to have a decent chance of getting that crit and just enough Count to not miss out entirely if she gets 1 (but not 2) "lucky" crits before that
Basically, she does crit but not guaranteed every time, since keeping her Poise stack between turns is kind of a struggle without EGO or support.
On that note, she also fuels Thoracalgia entirely by herself, and you're already incentivized to use an EGO to max out Grace. It's not a "needs Thoracalgia to function" level of Poise problem like Shi Faust, but rather it fits like a glove so you might as well just do it.
Doesn't mess with Hanafuda's gameplan either, since Thoracalgia only needs 1 Gloom, 1 Sloth and 5 Pride. The first 2 are easy to get, Ishmael's Bygone Days and Snagharpoon don't need Pride, and her other relevant EGOs (Christmas Nightmare, Capote, Tidal Elegy, Maggot) don't use more than 2 Pride unless you're going for Corrosion.
Index Faust being count negative can be a little misleading. She wont be critting every single turn but all her skills give her poise so she will still be critting very often.
This is a copy and paste from another reply I sent. Do take it with a grain of salt though.
Index is good for poise. and okay in sinking. She has the same problem as N Corp Yi Sang where she requires crit to apply more sinking but is poise coutn negative. She can be somewaht less poise negative by using Thoracalgia and Maid Ryoshu's support passive together. I suspect she will be in a much better place when we get more Index IDs or sinking IDs that can help her with the poise problem. You probably dont want to put her in Spicebush team since Butler Faust would be better and he wants Yurodivy Ryoushu support passive anyways.
LCA Outis sucks in tremor, providing only 1 tremor burst or 2 if the enemy has SP. There is no reason to take this ID over Molar and T Corp. She is great for sinking, especially with Solemn Lament. LCA applies more sinking count than Butler (without echoes or the manor or blue sand) but with echoes of the manor and blue sand, Butler applies more count on single targets while LCA Outis applies more count on multiople targets. You probably want to use Butler against single target anyways since Spicebush is a single target nuke and he provides no gloom skill for LCA's gloom res passive. Her sheut and gloom fragility makes enemies take more damage from gloom and sloth skills (both favorable for SL, Hanfuda, and Dieci Don), and udjat vanguard stacks can help win unfavorable clashes.
Overall, use LCA in almost every scenario except single target bosses outside MD. Index Faust in sinking team I would take in short fights with Solemn Lament, although I have yet to test it thoroughly. Index in poise team has less poise issues and I would use her in a poise or poise/slash team.
6-41
My team gets 12 7 burn after wave 2 enemy. They never got hit and killed the enemy in three turns, and when it dies everyone gets insane burn stacks that make phase 3 nearly impossible.
I've watched videos of it on youtube and it doesn't happen for other people. The only difference between them and me is that I had a burn team and maybe the boss has a secret passive that burns you when it dies if you use burn on it. But I don't have any other good units other than my burn team.
Does anyone know the exact reason why I get burn after wave 2?
Yeah they made the stage harder this October. Source: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1973530/view/525356497715069492?l=english
Wave 2 enemies now have this passive:

I guess you have to bring a healing EGO, preferably Fluid Sac Faust, to keep your team alive.
Well that information would have been nice to have in game. I don't understand why they didn't pit that as an actual enemy passive.

It is, though it may or may not be hidden for players first encountering the Peccatulum irae class 3 until they meet conditions to reveal it. Can’t confirm personally since I cleared this stage before the change.
I know the lack of reading skills is normal for this game but I swear that that passive wasn't there for me.
If it's the stage I'm thinking of, they made it a lot harder to be able to beat nowadays. Just keep playing and you'll see what will happen.
I already finished it, but it was mostly due to good rng. I want to figure out a proper way of doing it that doesn't rely on luck.
And yes it is the stage you are thinking of.
does You Heathcliff keep his rooster stacks even if he retreats and comes back?
haha no
are the new ids better in poisie or sinking and in tremor or sinking respectively (index faust/lca outis) and how much from their current slots in those teams
Index Faust is great on Sinking. Full explanation on this comment

Tips for 9-18?
I'm NOT gining up EX clear rewards you can't make me.
My team's a rag tag bunch of: SL Yi Sang, W Corp Ryoshu (support), Thumbsault and Edgar Gregor. I'm using what I got and both Meursault and Gregor died, before they got to use Savage Tigerslayer's Perfected Flurry of Blades and Unbrilliant glory with 40 man in scabbard.
For the pinky, just make sure every skill is always being targeted and he should fall fairly easily.
The ring can be ignored (mostly, clash the important dangerous ones) until she's alone.
That bucker with the poise shield seems immune to sinking and that iron maiden's unbreakable envy skills will 100% outclash my skills and EGO (even at 45sp it's either favored or hopeless), not to mention I only have prudence to heal my sinners. Did pre nerf Lei Heng get anywhere near this level of painful? I doubt so, cuz whenever I see that unbreakable Envy skill from the iron maiden, I can only think: "Rigged."
Idk, didn't use Sinking myself, doesn't seem like it matters. I used Caposault, Night Awl Gregor and NRyoshu, and I think Ryoshu also gets a buff too. Don't think I used egos either.
But she rolls a 16 at max on her envy skill iirc. I don't see how that's an issue to clash with for most of your units tbh, as far as I can tell their S2s should be able to deal with it fine, let alone S3s.
Pre-nerf Lei Heng does like 800 damage to your whole team, while the apprentices only do chip damage...
Anyway I cleared 9-18 with your team, it's totally doable. Didn't need to use Durante or any fancy EGO, just Meursault base EGO once. Just clash normally, and it doesn't matter if you lose a few of them.

Thx back to pain again.
You can try using Morositas to help with clashing.

Didn't need to, just 1st tried them after your screenshot, thx for the confidence boost.
Why can't I login? No matter what I do, the game wouldn't let me log in using my Google account. (Mobile)
How to make attack first before clashing when against the enemy with single skill?
If you have faster Sinners than the one clashing, they'll go before the Sinner that is clashing with the skill.
If you don't have faster Sinners, you're out of luck, as clashing skills will almost always be prioritized over unopposed skills.
I'm forming a bleed team and I already have both lamancha Don and Meursault and is currently borrowing a lamancha Rodion with Sanguine Desire. Now should I get my own Rodion or Kurakumo Heathcliff and Ishmael?
Princess Rodion is better if you want to borrow another ID. KK Heath and KK Ishmael want to be in a duo to get their benefits. But if you eventually shard them make sure to shard KK Heathcliff as he provides more damage and bleed than KK ISH.
Get Rodya first.
Could anyone help me form a team? This is all my ID's:

Are the new id's worth my lunacy?
If you have to ask, no. Just save your lunacy for walp banners.
In general, most people just farm MD to get IDs and EGOs without gambling, very rarely do we advise people to actually pull on banners.
Basically, no. Only pull if you're not f2p and can just buy more lunacy, or if you have lunacy to spare. Otherwise just save for walp banners.
If you're lacking some good IDs yeah but if not it's better to just shard them
But how good are they
Info_Potato22 made an in-depth thread explaining Udjat Outis' strengths and weaknesses, and the long and short of it is: she's better than Butler Outis on Solemn Lament teams but worse on Spicebush teams, which is not surprising at all, and also she has no place in tremor which is also not surprising
Index Faust is trickier to sum up but if you give her the right support, she inflicts tons and tons of sinking potency and can just barely sustain her poise count needs via her Thoracalgia and Butler Ryoshu's support passive
If you run Spicebush, you can sub out one of the two Butlers for their new counterpart, but not both
I don't think there's any general consensus about them just yet. While some people will pull for them, I'd say most people wait to shard them, so you'll have to wait at least until next week before people start having serious discussions.
The more people there are who have them, the more clear it will be how useful they actually are.
whats the better team for canto 8-20, sinking or bleed? is it difficult by any means?
I'd say Sinking for all except those fuckass monks who roll negative coins.
Truth is, using Sinking on positive-coin, SP bosses is kind of just easy mode. You gut the enemy's rolls and even if they have a passive that resets their SP, you can just make them depressed again with ease.
As for difficulty, I'd say it's about mid difficulty, but that really depends on your team. I didn't find it particularly difficult myself.
how often do these monks appear? and which yi sang team should i use? spice or solemn
Sorry for the late reply. I can't remember exactly how often the monk fights are, but they shouldn't be that common. There is one boss fight with them, but I believe you should get a checkpoint before it so you can freely change your team when you fight them.
As for which team, I admittedly have a bias towards Solemn team. I just find it more fun than using outdated IDs for the sake of playing around a single status effect. Solemn Lament and the team used along with him is a lot more reliable with clashes, which I personally find more valuable than 'haha big number'.
i made it to jia qiu thankfully, so which team should i use
sinking : solemn, mao faust, wei don, lord lu, wild hunt, jeong ish, and kodya
or
bleed: ring sang, mao faust, manager don, prince meur, lord lu, princess rodya, and barber outis, (with n corp ryoshu and priest gregor as backup)
although im worried if i use sinking i wont have enough damage to last before being worn down by unbreakables
Sinking seems to be better since more bosses are weaker to gloom. I personally didn't have any trouble with it, but then again, I used a team that was strong against the bosses.
How do I beat the sweepers?

This is my best team cause
Btw the picture is a little bit outdated only but my team is the same

anyone know if i should change my team (im midway through canto 2). my other options are: kurokumo clan hong lu, edgar family butler ishmael, liu assoc south section 5 hong lu, lob corp remnant faust.
KK Hong Lu is great throughout the earlygame (up until like Canto V-ish) but Fanghunt is perfectly usable too. Lob Corp Remnant Faust is quite good, too. You're early enough in the game that you shouldn't have much trouble; rely on the raw power of Ring Outis and Princess Rodion and just make sure you keep up with levels until you get some better IDs.
Is it just me or is earlking heathcliff so clunky? Especially the fact you can only use the s3-2 counter on 15+ sp like that's always gonna roll atleast one head and his dmg is for me lacking while new sinking units deal more dmg than him without the horrible gimmicks. My take is when recommending ids they should see if it's gonna last long cuz to me even before I don't think his really gonna last long as the "core" unit of sinking (and this are new guides recommending ids to shard not guides when he first came out and he still viewed as one of the "core"), it seems to me i just wasted my shards or im i dumb?
He is kind of a jack of all trades and it is hard to notice how he contributes to the team. Despite appearing like a dps, he applies a pretty good amount of sinking. His main gimick is his coffin stacks, which makes his S2 hit up to 4 enemies for really good damage. Coffin also makes his S3 deals more damage.
Overall, as strong as KoD or either Yi Sang IDs in short fights, but still applies good sinking.
I still reccomend him to beginners because, a) it encourages them to read the kit (although not forces them to) and b) he is good for both chain battles and bosses.
Kinda my point really. The coffin stack for s3-2 counter feels negligible if you roll heads and if you try to do the s3-2 skill slot near -25 sp your low on sp now which is unreliable cuz idk about you but i always lose clash and either way if you dullahan for next turn your sp is so crooked that if you do s2 there is a 50/50 you lose clash and if you use s3-2 counter another 50/50 scenario comes up. The improved s2's dmg is kinda meh and chain battles aren't really a problem (for me atleast) and in bosses I'd rather have a new sinking id that deals more more dmg for one atk weight cuz most boss gimmicks revolved in attacking this part or this guy more and tank the less disastrous enemy attacks and finally for the sinking part there might be a next id that's KoD but for potency which -sp KoD is still good at, so I don't understand why many people consider him as "core" sinking unit like got me sad that i cant take the new units cuz i use my shards 😭
I do agree. His S3 and S3-2 is pretty disappointing at times and I would rather have some purely focused on AoE or sinking application when we already have Spicebush and KoD to nuke enemies.
Who should I deploy for heishou team? I know I must use hong lu and 3 maos but after that idk who to fill in I have every heishou unit
Wei Sang is overall solid in terms of damage, tanking, and rupture application. The You IDs deal a lot of damage but eats up a lot of rupture count. The Si IDs deal less consistent damage but eats lets rupture count and have high burst damage. They also synergies well with Lord Lu since Lu is also a rupture/poise hybrid and the bolus affects from Si IDs contribute to rupture application.
Overall, use Wei Sang, Si Rodya, and last can be either Si Gregor or You Heathcliff. You can also use LCE Sang and kill him off after three turns to subsitute Jia Ish in although this is more of a speedrun strat.
Been playing for a couple days, not sure where to spend my energy.
After completing the dailies, what should I prioritize? So far its been XP so I can do more story missions (in canto 3, main party is about 24). Should I use all the daily bonuses for threads, stick with xp, or do a MD or two a day?
As a new player, keep pushing the story as far as you can. You can borrow lvl 60 IDs from people on your friend list so pushing the story is very easy. The more you progess the story, the better luxcavation tiers you can do.
Once you're stuck or are relatively up to date, that's when you can spend energy on farming instead.
Assuming you're efficient with using your resources (only leveling and uptying stuff the 4-6 characters you're actually using), just doing 1 EXP luxcavation and 3 thread luxcavations everyday is enough.
I personally do 1 EXP and 3 thread luxcavations per day, and then 1 MD run. I started during the Mao Faust banner, and already have 3 full teams at lvl 60 and uptie 4 by just doing this (rupture, sinking and tremor).
I recomend advancing the story as muvh as imposible. If you hit a wall dedixate some stuff to leveling. Ypu xont have many ids so thread isnt as important as long as ypu have all ypur ids 3 stare
What is the best pocket watch ego gift fusion?
https://preview.redd.it/vnfr8epqtmag1.png?width=2014&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9401a8d7f1ac6db2586c5da53d59f077fd434d4
I personally go for the two same set rather than mixed
Why is the level 58 Slash Luxcavation more Thumb East Soldatos?
Was this datamined or something? We've only had access to Pierce Lux these last two days.
As for why, probably to save time and because we didn't have that much of a variety in enemies in part 1. We only fought manikins and bosses in this first part, so the Soldatos were probably reused for lack of better options.
I mixed up my Lux order and thought it was Slash
Anyone else getting burnout from unbreakable coins?
I don't appreciate winning a clash just to still get possibly staggered and having status' still inflicted.
To add on does anyone else also think the new xp should give far more tickets?
we went from 69 to 84 and the new farm feels not worth it
A lot of the unbreakable skills that can actually wipe you have the conditional of losing a lot of power and not being able to stagger like the other guy said. If you actually win the clash, they're barely even a problem.
As for the EXP Lux, I think someone did the calculations and you actually have to farm less with the newest Luxcavation now.
Unbreaks are there not as a mechanic but to show off skills, so act as if they're not real
To be fair, they did add the: "[Clash Lose] Deal -XX% damage and damage dealt by this Skill cannot Stagger the target" on a lot of the scary skills.
I feel like the status infliction is necessary to just to have some threat / attrition from enemies over time with things like bleed / rupture stacking on your units and serving as a sort of countdown.
So basically you can’t truly farm shards until the pass fully releases on 1/15 right?
I mean, you're still getting EXP, once the levels unlock you'll get everything at once. I'm already at lvl 84, so if I stop here I'll jump straight to 84 once it unlocks.
Basically, just because you're not getting them until the 15th, doesn't mean you're not getting them at all. Besides, all you're gonna be missing out on is this banner, and you'll still be able to shard them on the 15th.
Edit: also, we get like 600 yellow crates from lvl 1-120, and like 200 red crates. You're still gonna be getting some crates before the 15th.
Thank you for your response I know about the level part because im lvl 38 rn. I just find it annoying after waiting so long only to get time gated again especially after getting all my shards and crates halved
yeah, you won't get the extra boxes until part 3
Thanks that’s pretty annoying
it is what it is, it's just 2 weeks out of the entire season
Kinda, you can farm you just cant get them untill pass fully opens.
Does distant star ego gift work on non sinking at 45 sp?
