I’m on my 2nd playthrough of LIS 2. I remember that in my 1st playthrough, I had to stop and play the Captain Spirit chapter. I didn’t have to do that this time. I’m wondering if it’s because my PS5 knows that I played it before or did different choices affect that from happening. I first played it just over a year ago, so my memory is kinda hazy. Thanks!
Maybe your earlier save from Captain Spirit is still on your account so it’s picked up the save automatically.
I for some reason did not have captain spirit even tho I purchased it. Also PS5 so maybe problem is the console?
No, I played it the first time on PS5 also. I’m guessing my decisions probably made the difference.
i don't remember the game ever forcing you to play the demo (captain spirit) just that if you did there would be some extra things to notice and so it checks for the data.

No, the game prompted me to download Captain Spirit. I couldn’t continue in the story until I downloaded and completed it.
If your Captain Spirit file is still saved somewhere on your local drive or user account on the cloud, it's possible that the game could find it, yes.
