/ul I’m sorry you found out the hard way friend, I hope things are getting easier for you by the day. I’ve had good friends return and they weren’t the same, I can only imagine
Oh you are gay? Did you try joining the military to sleep with lots of gay men and be forced to love your gun? I'm sure that will help you get along with women!
/ul I am bi, but also trans. I was trying to run away from my femininity and thought that if I did a bunch of masculine badass “man” stuff it would “fix” me and my problems with being so feminine. Which is ironic because the whole time I was in I was harassed for being too feminine and assumed to be a gay male. So after I retired I decided to just stop running away from myself so I transitioned. You can't really run from who you are.
/uj honest to god my older generations of family actually did think service would cure my aunt of her bisexuality and that’s exactly what didn’t happen lol
If you join the marines NEVER ask for the purple crayon, it's their favorite. Always bring a supply of red ones cause they seem to really enjoy those when they're out of purple
/ul Why wouldn't I though 😭 you look stunning in this picture
And I'm really sorry for your situation. My parents are also probably gonna get me arranged married (Indian thing) so I'll try to stop it by doing as many degrees as I can (sorry for talking about myself) are you planning on cutting all ties once you get financial independence?
/ul no need to be sorry friend, you’re all good! I appreciate getting to chat and hear from people esp online because I’m shy irl lol. Have you looked into the digital nomad route? I’ve only heard about it in passing but it might interest you!
Ah yes I've heard of the Nomad route. Basically for online jobs right? Well I might consider doing some as spare but since my parents are gonna be supporting me studying I'm not worried about education.
/ul can confirm that it doesn't work, just fyi…I thought it could “fix” me; it didn't.

/ul, its all good, it was an interesting ride and I learned a lot! I bit silly in hindsight, but still a lesson worth learning.🤷🏽♀️
/ul hell yeah, appreciate you passing on candid wisdom where you can
Joining the service to get straight worked for these guys.

They were super super duper extra-gay before they joined the Navy. Now they’re just super gay.
It's because of the seamen, I mean because they are Seamen!😆 ok I'm going to go sit back in my Chairforce chair and color.

/ul, Awww!🥰 thank you so much! I have to admit that made me blush!
As a life long MAGA who was in the Civil War, I can confirm, this cured me from racism and slavery back in my day
/ul I don’t know what gender you are but everything about that photo looks so gay, well done
Praying they can help me figure it out over there bc I’m equally confounded
Edit: /ul lmao I didn’t see your prefix my first read, tyvm it was a rare chromatic happenstance
u/ depending on what branch you join, you’ll be even MORE gay
/uj honest to god my older generations of family actually did think service would cure my aunt of her bisexuality and that’s exactly what didn’t happen lol
u/ if you want to maximize homosexuality, join the navy lmao
Can confirm, so many seamen
Least gay picture I've ever seen
/ul this one got me good ty
you definitely shouldn't join the navy, they'd hate u there
Surely being only around people of the same sex will make you less attracted to them
This is what I get for dodging the catholic school draft
/ul well at least you'll be out of the house away from your unsupportive parents and in a barracks that may have what youre looking for
/ul definitely out of the house just not to the barracks

The military will make you three times as gay, according the CNN
Thank god only Real News on Fox, tells the truth
Absolutely. Fox News correctly states that the military will only make you 22.5 percent gay, which is the correct percentage
😮💨whew that’s a way more patriotic number thank you
Navy was excluded from the research for bias?
Navy was included. They make up the majority of the military gayness according to CNN
Yassss queeeeeen 💅
ul/ Does this mean your parents don’t think military service will ‘cure’ you, and are supportive? 🤞
/uj haha to their credit they tried that with my aunt before i was an option but otherwise yes and yes ty ty
Wont, Source: me is military
Ah yes, the sure fire way to fix gay. Uniform.
Tried and true*
