Hello! A longtime group of friends and I lost our long-term campaign a few months ago suddenly and with little closure when our friend of 10 years and DM decided that he essentially didn't want "online friends" anymore. So here we are finally looking for a new game to start together!
We've played primarily 5e 2014, typical high fantasy homebrewed worlds over Discord voice/video and Roll20. In general, we like a solid mix of role play and combat, probably somewhere in the 60/40 range with the vibes of absolutely ridiculous party hijinxs all the way to "you're going to make me cry" serious and heartfelt moments. Character stories and development are also very important to us, with character focused points and backstories being connected to the plot in surprising ways being some of the most memorable moments in our games.
What we're looking for in a DM and game are openness and respect with a craving for telling an amazing and immersive story together. We're a diverse little LGBTQ+ group in our 20s and in EST/EDT. Scheduling wise we're pretty open for M/W/F evenings or potentially weekends on a weekly or biweekly basis. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to meet the group or have any other questions!
I'm looking to run a Saturday game. could we all hop in a group chat to get to know each other? I usually run my games on discord and owlbear. (owlbear is just dumbed down roll20)
