Hello! 25(f) have been on Lexapro since April of 2023. Went from 5-10-15-20 and now on 25mg. It seems to work for a while and then boom it feels like it quits working. I’m currently going through bad blips of anxiety where I’m having to take my PRN medication a lot more now. I recently have gotten over the flu. Not sure if it’s stimming from the flu or if it’s just not working for me anymore.
Thinking of switching to Zoloft but honestly terrified of it not working since I have a 4 month old baby girl i need something to work.
I am literally going thru the same thing! I've been so sick the past week and a half with a flu-like illness that tested negative for flu, strep, and covid. This past Friday, I woke up at 4am with the worst panic attack I've had since before I started taking Lexapro. Granted, I was taking a bunch a different prescription and otc meds together (some including dextromethorphan). I'm thinking the meds had an adverse interaction with the Lexapro. I'm better than I was on Friday, but still not 100%.
I honestly don’t know if it’s just from the sickness or if my Lexapro has finally given out :( all I took my mucinex and Tylenol the whole time I was sick. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist on the 14th but I’m nervous to switch medications but if it’s gonna poop out on me every few months and then I have to move up a dose idk what to do :( I’m already on 25mg… not sure how much further I can push it.
Ugh, that sucks!! Hopefully it was just from you being so sick and everything will balance out by the time you have your appt 🙏
