Hamilton’s Ferrari contract may run until 2027, with an option for 2028, longer than previously believed says BILD

More clickbait and why are we driving traffic there?

Doing so only reinforces why “publications” publish utter nonsense they have no way of credibly demonstrating.

And on that bombshell it's time to end. Good night!

Thats why they want to frustrate him now, for him to leave by himself because contracrually Ferrari can not do much. They're trying to push him out by ignoring his input to make his car driveable, and all focus is on Chatles' car.

    parent root
    13 points OldManTrumpet

Why would they pay him a bazillion dollars to join the team if their goal was to push him out?

This sub cant accept that Lewis Is declining, last year was Mercedes fault, this year Is Ferrari gaylr

    parent root
    1 points iankost

I think (in true Ferrari style) - next year (2026) will be our year (to find out).

He hasn't been able to adapt to the recent cars, but 2026 is going to suit his style more - if he's still poor then we know that's what it is.

Fernando shows that you can still perform at an advanced age, so there might still be some hope for him.

    parent root
    1 points KCiDe

i don't get why there are so many lewis fans here spreading hate - never heard such incompetent, respectless trash from lewis fans at a f1 race! let us support lewis but also accept facts. please respect other drivers and teams!

    parent root
    1 points freerangehumans74

I mean, Ferrari was a mess this year but as a staunch Lewis fan who's even older than him, I am fully aware that he's not going to get better the older he gets. I don't want to, but I do accept that.

I mean, they technically always could, but it'd be stupidly expensive.

    parent root

And what other driver would they get. None of the other top drivers are available or probably willing to sign up for a shitty Ferrari car

Bearman is in the same pipeline currently that brought Leclerc to Ferrari

    parent root
    11 points Politicallydepressed

If anything that’s more of a reason for Bearman to run for the hills, if next years Ferrari is poor I expect he will be chasing Charles towards those hills

    parent root

Bearman is limited in options, if he leaves Ferrari umbrella.

I have zero confidence that Ferrari will return to previous form anytime soon. They need to Revamp from head to toe. It’s sad for Hamilton fans.

    Next year hopium

    parent root
    -6 points PuzzleheadedJob6907

Pulling an Alonso? Doesn’t sound very likely to me.

I’m going to bet that if they nail the regs too perfectly, they might start to seriously consider putting people younger than him in that seat.

    parent root
    8 points zubairhamed

Why? Hamilton back in form in Ferrari is major bucks for them.

    parent root
    2 points PuzzleheadedJob6907

In modern times, Ferrari doesn’t have a long history of keeping drivers over 40, and they won’t bin Leclerc to support Lewis. This is simply an observation of their practices.

Most drivers over 40s simply cannot be compared to themselves at their peak.

    parent root
    1 points That-Card

Follow the money when thinking about decision made.

Let's imagine a Ferrari that is fighting at the front.

Would more money be made in that team with a young driver pairing with Charles, or selling the possibility of the only team that has a seven and eight WDC? Pretty obvious money game.

    parent root

Not likely. If they nail regs and the gap between him and charles widen maybe but if he performs well there is no way they drop him.

This is an article from the judge - such a complete garbage website that writes complete clickbait.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was just garbage for clicks, whoever hosts this site is known for bullshit clickbait headlines that are entirely false to get people to their website, and mobile push notifications the same.

Lewis himself has said he has a long contract, German press claims it’s 3 years with an option for a 4th.

    BOMBSHELL

    parent
    1 points Rivendel93

Yeah, I know this has never been confirmed, but Lewis himself said "I have a pretty long contract" so he seemed to sign up for quite a few years with 2026 being the true starting goal.

Obviously he'd want 2025 to have gone better, but feels like when he makes plans, they're long term.

    Dream scenario:

Ferrari gets a decent car for '26, giving Lewis some victories.

Lewis retires at the end of '26 and becomes the modern Enzo Ferrari, running the entire automotive part and the Scuderia.

Ferrari need a tested winner to get them back into their old ways, and Lewis certainly fits the criteria.

It will also improve his already excellent legacy.

Not only is he known as the greatest F1 driver in history, he will also be as important to the history of the brand as Enzo was.

    Would you consider that?

    parent
    14 points Sleutelbos

Lewis is not Italian, he wont be leading or running any department at Ferrari.
