Ferrari will never be a championship winning team, ever, if they don't improve their way of working and organisation.
It's like watching a French pro-cycling team. A bunch of incompetent amateurs unwilling to innovate because they have this misplaced sense of superiority over anyone and anything.
They should take a step back and listen to outsiders like Hamilton as clearly what they've doing so far doesn't work.
They rebuilt Ferrari once with Michael too much trouble to do it again. Ferrari is more interested in the new cafe bar near the factory serving espresso with a cornetto.
While it’s much harder to change things now as a driver than when Schumacher was in(unlimited testing being key), I think Ferrari needs new blood in mid management levels to the very top.
They did it for strategy and suddenly the strategy department stopped making boneheaded decisions and looked more like a top f1 team. Vasseur should be an abrasive force in that team, fire mediocrity and set a high standard-remove the baked in deference to the old guard, get everyone to feel like they need to bring 100% every day to stay.
If fred starts doing that they will fire him also. Its just the ferrari way, most people dont want anything to change because whether its good or not its the ferrari way.
“When a driver starts playing engineer, that’s it. Then it’s really over.”
It was actually over when the engineers started playing engineer, and actually not doing engineer jobs. Data is all good but if that were true Mercedes would not have had the shit car they did in 2022 and beyond.
Clearly something is broken at Ferrari- at this point trying something from an 8 (sic) time world champion won’t lead to a worse outcome.
Its useless if they use it as a paperweight instead of opening it and analyzing what inside. He literally has decades of insider secrets from mclaren and mercedes
Arrivibene said arrivederci with no championships, despite having two WDC drivers. He has very little credibility.
If a driver says “As a driver, I need to feel comfortable committing to high speed corners and I need brakes that provide good bite and feedback. In addition, the drivability of the engine needs to be smooth and linear throughout the rev band,” then it is absolutely the engineers responsibility to turn those requirements into action in designing the car.
He also, fairly famously, led Ferrari to a massive fine from the FIA for a carefully engineered scheme to bypass FIA controls on fuel flow, increasing the fuel flow to the engine over the mandated limits when the FIA installed meter was dormant.
This is also called cheating.
This was done with the full knowledge that other teams conduct ACINT to derive competitor engine data. And those teams turned their data over to the FIA, which led the FIA to conduct deep technical analysis of the Ferraris prior to and during the 2019 US GP at COTA, where proof was obtained.
Ferraris performance fell off dramatically and at the end of the year they had a special and private meeting with the FIA where Ferrari paid a fine and promised to not get caught again.
Part of their punishment was that they had restricted fuel flow in 2020, evidenced by their dismal speed.
Ferrari are real fucking lucky that a once in a generation talent managed to gaslight the public into believing that they’re capable of winning championships
The wrong person is at the elm at ferrari vassuer needed to go in June when his contract was up for nego... stupid to keep him he ha proven himself incapable... in many areas... the sf25 is the biggest mistake
I have many times. And tbh I just tried to carve out a group of people I can trust. And made the best we can in our influence. And tried to push upper management. But most times it falls flat. Occasionally things got thru; but little victories. But I am not an 8-time world champion. Though have come from better and bigger companies and tried to sell what they were good at, but as with ferrari they don't care.
This is different. Do not get me wrong, Lewis is still a fast driver however compared to Leclerc he is slow and I don't see him beating Leclerc in equal machinery. In addition, I don't see Ferrari building a title winner so what will be the point of him racing? If it is money he has a ton already. What else?

they had alonso, seb, lewis and even charles and they fucked it up
They even fucked up at either getting Kimi a second WDC or a first one for Massa.

At this point, they should just rename to Scuderia Fiat. The upper management is disgracing the name of their own team.

For what its worth, Binotto was the one responsible for the powertrain at the time.

a.k.a Ferrari will remain the decripit piece of crap they are.
Understood.
But in all honesty, Lewis may have also lost his edge. If he cannot get the better of Leclerc or atleast be competitive, then he has to retire.
OP have you ever worked for company that was poorly managed. It sucks, how do you get motivated when the company does not care if it succeeds or not.

And we need to be sincere even as Lewis fans.
