• The curse of Elkann. 🙄

  • I don't believe you.

  • "A key Ferrari insider believes the optics of the relationship between Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari are worse than the reality."

"I think what you see from the outside is much worse than what it is."

Does this journalist even know what he wrote??

    Lol

Yes when you say much worse from outside than reality as a engineer your speaking from the internal not external perspective as you work inside.

So what he’s saying which makes perfect sense in English the way he said it means. From fan perspective from outside (as we fans are outside as we don’t know what’s going on internally) it looks trallh bad but from inside with the data we have it looks much better. Data we as fans never get to see

  • Not sure how outside vs inside differs, results are results

Probably because there’s plenty of mitigation, such as Lewis not giving a crap once car development stopped, and the car experience of Charles. Next season we’ll see what the true lay of the land is. Unfortunately we also need Ferrari to make a competitive car which looks less and less likely

Lewis was given a pig to race, why would he want to push a pig as it will never catch a horse

to beat his teammate. i kinda hate some takes around here. "if the car is shit why should he even do hist best". 7x (8x) wdc or not - he still has to prove himself against his teammate and justify his seat and salary. he should try and beat his teammate - always and every year. he wants to get an upper hand. he wants to prove to his team that he is not the ageing wdc brought in for his name, but rather someone that can still beat the best even though he is 40 years old.

also dont think thats his mindset. you dont become the best to ever do it by only giving your best when you have a car that can win you races. you become the best by pushing to the limit, trying to improve and maximize results regardless of what you are given.

Do you really think beating his teammate is likely to motivate an 8xWDC?

it 100% should - because thats the biggest indicator of the drivers individual performance. and wether you like it or not, 8x wdc or not, even lewis hamilton has to prove himself against his teammate. ESPECIALLY after going in to a new team. he has to prove his worth. its not a hard concept. he doesnt get a free pass for his past performances - no athlete does. thats not how competitve sports work. (completely ignoring the fact that he is being paid 70mil to drive that car)

Utter bollocks. He has nothing to prove to anyone and as soon as the cars not competitive, he has every right to not give a fuck and sit on the beach

And Ferrari would have every right to stop paying him $ millions in that situation.

He’s still racing. Nothing in his contract says he has to care or try hard.

I’m impressed that you know the terms of his Ferrari contract, word for word.

Unlike you, I would only be guessing, but I would be most surprised if Lewis’s contract did not include some kind of stipulation about ‘best efforts’.

However, you clearly think you know better, and I clearly don’t.

He has nothing to prove , if the car is rubbish why push it as it won’t win a race and the instability is just a risk to him

  • This is so obvious, look this seriously Reddit is full of people asking for Adami head, still waiting for Lewis opinions in that regard.

  • I just hope that Lewis is not being an idiot and hoping that Ferrari will bounce back next year, I hope he has his options open.
