I'm starting to have trouble thinking of monsters to create now that I have almost 125 different designs. Do you have any suggestions?

I've been wanting to make some large monsters like the Dragon Turtle, Sea Serpent, and Roc. I'd also like to explore different types of vampires.

  • At first I didn’t understand microscale. But after years have passed I really enjoy them.

Do you (or any other Redditor reading this) play with microscale? If so, would you recommend it? Is it fun to play? What’s the biggest challenges?

I personally use microscale and I think they're amazing, but there are limitations. I started using Lego in my D&D games with the release of the oficial set and the CMFs, but I realized it would be very expensive to put together a respectable minifigscale collection. That's when I started experimenting with microscale. I only build miniatures of characters and monsters. I thought about building terrain tiles, but the variability is too great, and I quickly realized it wouldn't be possible to build them for both.

The main advantages are the cost-effectiveness and versatility of the builds. It's an incredible creative outlet. Furthermore, they are much easier to store and transport. It's also nice to give the miniature to a player (since they're dirt cheap hehe). Finally, because they are smaller miniatures, you have more space on the table to tell stories and have battles on a larger scale.

As disadvantages, I would consider that they can be small for large hands, lol. Sometimes it's difficult to find an appropriate design for a specific monster, and some parts are harder to find on Bricklink or are even nonexistent in certain colors.

  • Adorable and dangerous! Microscale is so fun

  • I love them! Also forgot clay golems were even a thing! Please make a dragon turtle or a roc! Also, did you get the kraken? I see you have the tentacle things but not the body itself. Dnd version or the folklore version would be amazing! Love your work! How long are you going to be doing this?
