Its crazy to me that the head alone is $30. I got lucky and found a few still in the box for retail price and a few more for like $3 a piece before the price hike. I hope we get more Dragonborn heads in more colors. A silver/Grey, bronze, and a black version would all be really nice additions to have
Im a purist for the most part, so majority of the non lego brand stuff just isn't my thing. Ive seen some of the off brand Dragonborns and they surprised me with how good they looked, but still id rather hold out hope for official stuff from Lego personally.
There’s a red demon/devil head from either Ninjago or maybe Monkey Kid (?) that works pretty good with Red Hulk body. I can’t remember the proper name or part number for it right now, but I’ll look it up when I can log into my Bricklink account later today.
This one might work, but it could look a little small without a good helmet or hairpiece or something. I wish there was a rubber big jaw piece in red (similar to the one with the orc warrior CMF).

I would love to get all the metallic dragon heads. More D&D cmfs in general would be nice honestly

It's insane indeed. Picked up a sealed box for €20 yesterday, was pretty happy about that.
AliExpress has it for cheap in a wide variety of colors, pretty close to Lego quality too.
