Hi all - Location: Greater Boston I have a tenant whose lease ended 10/31 in Greater Boston, MA. We have an eviction case coming up. The tenant havent paid rent since September. The tenant has always had an excuse for not paying rent after their state help ended. Tenant lives in the unit with 3 teenage children. (I think one might even be over 18 now) any chance judge would let the tenant stay? We kept up with maintenance during this time.
You want to consult with a local eviction attorney. It is vanishingly unlikely that someone on line here will know the biases, quirks, and sticking points of the local court. Additionally, no one here has read the lease, nor knows the specific fact pattern of your case.
Edit: Without knowing any of those things, is it possible? yes.
