I noticed something interesting while gaming. When I play battle royale solo, even 1 hour feels exhausting. But when I play with friends, I can play 5–6 hours easily — no burnout, and the progress feels way faster.
Does the same thing apply to coding? Like, does learning/working with friends make coding easier and more productive?
Opposite for me, 1 hour feels like 5/6 hours when coding together
Yup. SO much more mental strain.
What was experience and where did you got that coding partner?
Because the partner isn't good enough?
Nah, what even is the point of coding with friends? Brainstorming and planning sessions, sure. But for development, you usually split a project into parts and assign them to each person, following the earlier discussed plans.
Why would you even need more than one person working on the same thing? It can cause code conflicts. But if you're both working on different things, coding together is just distracting. It doesn't even work back in school when writing group reports, much less coding.
My bad, for the confusion... What I actually mean by coding together was - "Learning to code together". And yes you are actually right about the distractions and the code conflicts.
