What does it want here? I know it’s not plural definite form as I tried all declensions (on the first 2.) Help me please, I cannot move on until I finish this.
The answer to the first one is "nir" in the box, so it says "diskarnir" in combination with "diskar." Do you see the pattern? (I have verified that it considers this the correct answer.)
Another confused person here, I for one do not understand, can you go in depth? Sorry I’m kinda dumb. Oh wait do I only put “Nir” inthe box or “diskarnir”?
In case you haven't already discovered this resource (it's indirectly linked to the icelandic online course pages) it's super helpful for exercises like this. I'm giving the link showing the declensions for "hestur" but you can easily search for other words.
I struggled a bit when I started using it since it's entirely in Icelandic but throwing the various messages and bits of text it gives you into Google translate is almost always good enough to get you by. When searching it's best if you put the "dictionary form" of the word in the search bar. If you don't, it will let you search for any matches it can find.
In your question you mention that you know it's not plural definite, but in fact it is. You may have already resolved the confusion but if not, keep the questions coming!

Only "nir." It's just the definite article ending.
