I was born in 1981, the era of records. My parents had a few Queen albums, and I was obsessed. To the point they put headphones on me, once the repetition got too much. I would say ‘again’, and point at the vinyl. My favourite was Radio GaGa.
I was 10 when Freddie passed. My Dad woke me up to tell me, as though a family member had gone. I cried and cried. Such a loss 😔
Bronchial pneumonia as a result of AIDS. Let’s not shy away from the horror of HIV/AIDS. We’ve come a long way but we could always go backwards.
“We could always go backwards” speaks in America
Narrator: and they did.
Rest in peace, sir.
He loved his cats. ❤️
He wrote The Show Must Go On when he was at his worst. It was a real struggle but he insisted.
And recorded it in one take, iirc. An amazing loss to the world.
Fun story, but allegedly it was 2 mostly full takes, and as many as 4 or 5 punch-in's.
That whole album is great. These Are the Days of Our Lives absolutely beautiful song
Brian wrote most of the show must go on. Not Freddie.
Man stayed Fabulous even when sick. RIP.
At a party at the moment and Queen played, thought to myself “imagine if Freddie was still alive? He’d probably still make music” it’s a shame
He’d host his own Apple Radio Show akin to Elton John
Such an amazingly talented man. I’ve always wondered what he would of done if he has still been here
WE LOVE YOU FREDDY!!!
Much love to you, Freddie. I’m sorry you had to go this way.
R.I.P🙏🕊
