Damn. I'm sorry you had to go through that. People can be cruel, and some of the most vile cruelty is done to us by thise who also say that they "love" us. Most of my trauma is from a childhood spent with a sadistic and perverted stepdad and a mother who preferred her husband over her son.
Then you have the victims who, as adults, confront their demons and tormentors only to be told they're mistaken and/or lying. Turns out that that's pretty traumatic in itself.
I never got justice, either. He never apologized, and after I confronted him about it, I had to file a police report to make sure people knew that he was threatening me and my family in case he ever tried anything. To this day, my mother still refuses to believe some of the things he did to me. We haven't spoken in a long time, and I doubt we ever will again.

I read his description of that memory was so disgusted. Shame on the police for not investigating further or for other victims.
