Hi there, I’m (teen,f)currently planning on going to Iceland with my explorer troop next year and I would like to learn at least a bit of the language before I go. I’m completely new to Icelandic because it’s not on duolingo but I’d at least like to know some phrases. Also, I’m trying to study French outside of school (I’m about an A1) so any help with that would be appreciated. Not sure if you need a certain level of understanding in a language to post here, but I thought that I might as well post this anyway just in case.
hi! i'm learning Icelandic on Drops, it's a language app that does offer the language & that also offers some very convenient pre-made sentences for travel. I also rec /r/learnicelandic, esp their master post
What a coincidence, I’ve just started using that app a couple of days ago! I’ll definitely checkout that subreddit page as well. Thanks you so much for helping me out!
You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy your Icelandic holiday.
