Hi, I'm a native British speaker, unfortunately no second languages under my belt but want to learn Brazilian portuguse!

I'm pretty much a total beginner and have only really been using duolingo (not consistently). I love Brazil though and listen to alot of brazilian music (baile funk, trap) and follow the culture, TV shows etc. I just want to be able to understand all the media without Google translate and subtitles, and be able to talk with and build relationships with native speakers as I'm a very social person but the language barrier makes it hard.

I think using WhatsApp would be the best method as that will allow phone calls and voice notes but open to other suggestions.

Not sure of the format be something that's consistent and regular and maybe we could try responding and replying to each other in our TL and making corrections where possible?

Ideally would like to speak with someone with similar interests (baile funk music for example) so we and build a friendship too. I'm not interested in anything super formal and I want to be more famialr with the slang and conversational way of speaking.

In terms of English I can help with whatever level you want. I'm quite informal but if you are wanting to learn more formal ways or speaking in English I don't mind aiding that too
