Hello, everyone. I am a 27F from NYC seeking a friend that speaks Spanish from Spain 🇪🇸. I’m very patient and I think I’m pretty interesting to talk to (I hope). Feel free to message me!
While you hunt for a Spanish friend or a language partner, try reading a real lot. Upskill your sentence building skills, vocab and grammar using Spanish dual language short stories (which is nothing but Spanish and English side by side, paragraph by paragraph)
Use childhood-stories.com is a free website contains 100 simple Spanish short stories along with English translation and a few of them are included with slow audio as well
Friendly question because of my stupid curiosity, What is it that you like about Castellano? You could totally learn any other form of Spanish and still be able to communicate with spanish people, I know Spanish, but not the Castellano dialect although I can make quite a good impression of Castellano.
Good question. Well, I like the idea of speaking Spanish of a specific country with that country’s specific vocabulary and grammar. For instance, I speak Brazilian Portuguese with a São Paulo accent and using São Paulo specific words for things. It makes it cool when I run into Brazilians from there. In the English language, it would throw people off if you spoke American English, but frequently inserted British or Jamaican words for things. Most of the time you would be understood. But for me, it would be cooler to be consistent in my use of the language. Hopefully that makes sense.

Alright, that's a really specific goal, but a cool one!
