I have studied japanese for two years. So I have a basic understanding but that was over 10 years ago. Currently using duolingo to continue.

Learning by an app does not replace a person that knows the language fluently. So looking for a person that knows it fluently .

To help with conversations, here is a little bit about me hobbies.

I am a video gamer, I mainly play role playing games, but almost any game is fine, except sports and most racing games. Enjoy fantasy television and movies along with action, adventure, and sci/fi. I am into cooking, hiking, and travel in general. This includes most books. Anything else can be asked.
