  • Do you want English from the UK or English from elsewhere?

  • What's the difference between Cadê and Onde?

Also do you have any recommendation for anime or tv shows that have PT-BR legendas to watch for learners? I am trying to watch cardcaptor sakura with portuguese subs.

cadê: where is...? ("cadê o meu caderno / where is my notebook?"; is more slang-ish)

onde: where... (as in "foi ali onde perdi meu brinco / that's the place where I lost my earring"; can also be used for questions as well: "onde está o meu caderno? / where is my notebook?". more formal)

I barely watch anything subbed in portuguese, but I'd go with Steven Universe lol, it's a show I like and find easy to follow + there aren't many complicated words.

Thanks! I didn't that know "cadê" was more informal.

  • I speak English fluently. I would like to practice my Portuguese.

  • This is such a coincidence! I am a law student as well (well my academic and career history is quite complicated but here we are!) but in London. I speak English natively so I think I can help you.
