Hi there.
I am very, very bad at the aforementioned languages (like, started yesterday-bad), but I would really love some help in learning the basics. While I would like to eventually learn to read and write in these scripts, I have a need to learn functional conversation first, then get more in-depth. Also, anyone who speaks any of these and a second (or even third) language from the general South Asian region is a definite plus. Urdu is just the language I have the most practical use for.
About me: I have professional experience teaching English as a Second Language, and I currently teach Citizenship classes (civics and n-400 terminology, NO legal advice). I can definitely also help with citizenship and immigration in the same capacity that I teach, definitely not with filling out forms or anything like that. And while I do not need to know these languages for my job, it'd be polite of me to at least get the basics. YT videos seem to be full of errors, and my supervisor (who actually speaks Hindi) just shouts "ap ka (English word) hai!" at people until they answer. This doesn't always yield the best results when I do it.
I'm obviously not going to become especially skilled at all of these, but I really am aiming to just get some functional stuff down over time and improve my pronunciation -- stuff like that. I can dedicate quite a bit of time to this pursuit weekly, so it's great if you can as well. I prefer to work with women, but it's not a requirement -- just not looking for flirting, etc. Zoom is preferred, WhatsApp and Discord also work.
Feel free to check out my other posts to see my interests, etc, if you so desire. I also do snail mail pen paling, but am limited to English for something like that.
Thanks for reading!

There are regular classes taking place for Hindi every Friday and Saturday and you will definitely meet nice and friendly people.
