Hello. I have no idea how to start learning a language through exchange. I live in U.S.A and I have a Russian boyfriend who moved here about a year-ish ago. I want to learn Russian so he and I can communicate effectively at any time, as sometimes he is better able to get his point across in Russian. Ex, he was talking about food the other day and didn't know the word "Salmon" so he had to translate it before continuing. I want to breach that gap, as, he's bilingual, so I should be too. He isn't top tier at instruction. He can guide me on pronunciation and spelling, but I need help with grammar, sentence structure, verb conjugation, etc. The rest of what goes into a language besides saying it right and spell9ng it correctly when writing. I have excellent vocabulary in English (I may have been overzealous in this post, oops) as well as a firm grasp on the concepts of grammar, sentence structure, and pronunciation. In 4th grade (10 years of age), my reading and grammar comprehension was tested against the collegiate level (between 18-26 years) I'd be glad to pull up many Thesaurus and Dictionary guides to help, as well.
