Hello. I grew up in the US with a Russian relative. I learned bits and pieces of Russian. I can understand it far better than I can speak it and that’s what I’m really after - conversational skills. I know the Cyrillic alphabet and can read Russian words, but very slowly, like at a preschool level.

Hey, not exactly what you asked for, but I'm a heritage speaker. I was born and raised in the US by Russian parents, spent my first 20 years of life speaking regularly. I text with my mom almost daily, but otherwise I'm also looking for more opportunities to communicate, since I don't know any Russians in my area. Feel free to send a chat in Russian if you'd like!
