I am a 28 year old Scottish guy living in Edinburgh. I work in the city as a doctor and also often work in rural Scottish areas like Orkney, the Highlands. One of my biggest regrets in life was not learning a language and now having a bit more time on my hands (I am working part time) I have been really focussing on learning German for the last 7 months. I have reached a comfortable B1 level and feel I am improving day by time. I think regular speaking practise is what I require the most however and I would love to talk with any German speakers that will have my ear! Ultimately my goal for learning German is to hopefully spend a few months living in Germany to better experience the culture. In return I can offer native English in a Central Scottish dialect and also an insight into Scots if that might be of interest. I have no formal training/teaching in Scots so would probably struggle to formally explain it but I certainly use it and am surrounded by people who use it on a regular basis.

  • I'm studying German too. we can be study mates if you want to!
