Hiya, American (22) currently based in the UK. As with many others, my languages have really deteriorated throughout lockdown due to lack of interaction and would really like to find a partner to brush up/maintain my knowledge.

About me: finishing up my masters in european lit in the UK, previously did my undergrad at a French uni in Paris and have experience teaching in French cultural organisations. Starting a PhD in the fall. Would prefer to have someone close to my timezone, but am very open to any enthusiastic interlocutors.

Prefer: somebody who has studied grammar up to a university level in order to give technical feedback/explanations on register, syntax, and vocabulary choice.

What I can offer: very precise feedback for common mistakes, grammatically and linguistically oriented explanations and feedback, and a load of enthusiasm. Specifically for speakers with a strong background in English (or have English as a second native language) learning French, I've been through my process myself (having taught myself French from scratch) and know exactly what conceptual hoops you will need to jump through and overcome in order to attain fluency.

  • Hey:) nice to meet you! I'm from Colombia and I'm 20 years old. I'm a Spanish teacher so I can help you improve your conversational skills and your grammar too. I have to practice a lot my English, I'm not fluent yet. I'm also studying French at University, so I know grammar and I can speak a little bit but it's still hard for me. If you are interested in, please text me:)

  • Native Italian speaker here! I'm quite good at giving feedback, some would say I'm even too blunt lol. I'm looking for a conversation buddy for English(C1), and I would appreciate some advice on learning French, as I've just picked it up again after studying it in HS. Send me a DM if you want to practice together!!

  • Heyy, in a Spanish native speaker. I can make corrections to your text and pronunciation, also I can teach you some jargon and cultural things. I need to practice my English speaking, let me know if you're interested.

    Hiya! Yes very interested :)

Which time zone are you in ?
