Hello everyone! My name is Luca. I am from Germany and I am currently trying to learn italian through Duolingo. I know the app doesn't exactly provide the best basis for learning a language, but so far I have been making good progress. I know some french too and it definitely has been helping me to get a hang of the grammar. I'm still at the beginning of the course, so my questions wouldn't be very complicated. The thing is, Duolingo doesn't explain everything, and there's a lot of very specific questions that I'd rather ask a person than try to find an answer through google. I would also help me learn a more natural type of italian instead of a "perfect" rendition of it. . I would be fine with only that, but it would also be cool to find a new friend through this!
In exchange I am offering my knowledge of German! I've lived here all my life and can even help you with identifying and understanding different dialects/accents within the language, specifically Swabian, Bavarian and different Austrian accents. I would also be glad to help you with written German, looking over texts and giving advice on how to make them sound more natural.
Some more information on myself: I am 20 years old and moved to Düsseldorf last october. I came here to study German and English, but with the current pandemic I've been struggling to keep up with uni, so now I'm trying to find other ways to spend my time! I like reading and writing, as well as creating art, be it sketches, watercolor or embroidery, I sew, and I also like to play videogames! Some favs among books are To kill a mockingbird (Harper Lee), The name of the wind (Patrick Rothfuß), All involved (Ryan Gattis) and Codex Alera (Jim Butcher). I've played Night in the Woods, Dead by Daylight, Sims 4, Subnautica and a bunch more. Can't wait to hear from you!
Hey there!!! I’d like to help you, DM me. I don’t speak any German tho and I’m not learning it right now, but who knows, maybe in the future. I spent some time in Germany though, especially in Düsseldorf and I have lots of memories from that time. Let me know!!
I'm really interested hit me up
I live on the second floor.
Yep. Exactly the song I was named after.
You can hit me up if you have questions. Maybe that'll give me an excuse to pick up my german skills which have by now almost completely disappeared lol
Nice, thanks! I'll shoot you a message. German can be pretty frustrating, so I don't think anyone would judge you lol
