Hi, I'm a 31m Japanese living near Tokyo.
Japanese is my native language, and I’m currently looking for a language exchange partner to practice German with. My German is at super beginner level..., and I get nervous speaking with German in German — so I really want to get more comfortable through casual conversation. If possible, I'd like to practice speaking by voice (only if you're okay with it) because speaking is the hardest part for me right now. Ideally, I’d love to do a regular language exchange — maybe twice a week, with about 30 minutes of Japanese and 30 minutes of German each time, either by text or voice call.
If you're in Japan or planning to visit, I’d be happy to recommend fun places to visit or great spots to eat. Even if we don’t meet in person, I can still share good local tips online.
This is my first Reddit post, so I’m not totally sure I’m doing this right — but thanks for reading, and feel free to message me. Thank you!
I can try to help out with your English, if you wanna help me with my Japanese! I'm a 24m and would say beginner level of Japanese. Lmk if you're still looking for someone to chat with!
If you actually mean German, I would love an exchange (41f). We're in the same boat, I just started Japanese and am really scared of speaking because I know NOTHING. Maybe we can be scared together. 🤭
I got really excited reading the title until I realized you meant German and not Dutch. Sad Belgian noises...

I feel the need to point out that Dutch is the language of the Netherlands, German would be Deutsch.
