I live in San Francisco, 8 hrs behind Portuguese time, which can be a challenge, but I’ve occasionally found people who are available from about 16h to 21h Pt time.

I not only speak English, I was an English literature major in college and have spent my life in publishing, so my literacy in my mother tongue is quite high. I’ve been studying Portuguese for a while now, but it’s always difficult to find speakers of the European version to practice with.

If you are Brazilian—even if you’re living in Portugal—don’t be offended that you’re not the conversation partner I’m looking for. I have Brazilian friends I’m very happy to know (and to speak Portuguese with), but it’s specifically European Portuguese I’m trying to learn.
