I’m offering free Japanese lessons for English speakers who want to improve their Japanese!
I love teaching and helping others, and I’m currently studying English myself.
So, I’m looking for friendly language exchange partners—you help me with English, and I help you with Japanese!
What I can help you with:
· Basic to beginner/intermediate Japanese conversation
· Vocabulary, grammar, and expressions used in daily life
· Reading practice (stories, manga, articles)

I’m 60 years old and recently retired from my job.
Now, I’m studying to become a certified Japanese language teacher.
To gain real-life teaching experience, I’d like to offer free Japanese lessons.

I have just started learning Japanese properly about a week ago. I am getting myself acclimatized to Hiragana after which I will focus on Katakana. I am also learning to write side by side and am using this book as a guide: https://www.amazon.in/dp/1739321022?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
There are multiple reasons I want to learn Japanese - both personal and professional. Personally, I have loved Japanese culture and art for a long time - video games and anime specifically. Professionally, I aspire to become skilled enough to someday work with people in the video games industry of Japan, specifically video game companies like From Software, Capcom or Yoko Taro (creator of the Nier: Franchise). Even if I don't achieve that goal, I do plan to visit Japan and entrench myself in the culture once in my life-time.
My goal is to currently get to N1 level of proficiency - this is the long term goal. I understand that this might take upwards of 2 years, but I have already made up my mind to learn the language.
I already dedicate 1 hour daily to studying the language (more on weekends), mixing writing, pronunciation, comprehension, and revision.
Absolutely. Any help will only be a supplement to my long term goal of learning the language. As for feedback and correction - that is exactly the thing I am looking for - those are the two pillars of improvement and brutal feedback is the best way to get better at anything.
