Hello everyone! I’m looking to language exchange with native speakers of Korean (I’m at an intermediate level so I’m past the basic stuff and you won’t have to simplify too much) and Mandarin Chinese (this level is honestly pretty basic 😅 but I’m working to improve). For Korean I’m hoping we can do Zoom calls/Discord voice chats, for Mandarin probably short voice notes.
I speak English natively (fairly neutral East Coast American accent, although I can help with Appalachian English if you’re curious) and Spanish at ~C1 level (my accent is Caribbean mostly, but I have lots of experience with Spain vocabulary and grammar bc most of my professors were from Spain). I do teach these languages so I have a solid grammatical understanding of them, but to be clear I’d like to do a casual, even-split conversational exchange.
I love talking about history, science (especially biology and psychology), language learning/linguistics, popular culture, technology, and music (I play percussion and am learning the piano; I listen to mostly rock/metal, reggaetón, and kpop). I’m studying neuroscience and linguistics in university so I’m especially knowledgeable in those areas. Feel free to send me a DM if interested~
