I'm a native English speaker from the US (32M in New York, specifically) looking to practice live conversation with native Spanish speakers from any country. I'm using spaced repetition and mnemonics a lot, like in Anki and MemoryCraft. I'd like to get exposure to different accents, regions, and slang, because I interact with a Latino-American community that includes people from all areas of the Spanish-speaking world. I am also interested in Spanish Sign Language.

I also would like to focus on spoken conversation (either via the phone, video chat, or sending voice messages, which I find works well when you are tired of Zoom or phonecalls) because I'm self-conscious about my accent.

My background includes performing, software programming, movies, community organizing, reading, and boxing (including a lot of fighters from Latin America, and I'd like to learn more about the Spanish-speaking boxing world).

Also, I am hoping to learn more about what it takes to teach English effectively, because many of my Spanish-speaking friends don't speak English, but are trying to learn, and I'd like to assist.

Let's learn together!
