Hello, my name is Tess (33F). I have studied Spanish for a long time (introduced at 6, seriously for 3 years) and I want to finally get beyond Duolingo lessons and watching La Casa De Papel by myself haha. I have family in Spain and have visited twice. However, most of my learning has been in Latin American Spanish. I would be happy to learn from someone from anywhere, but would love some grace with odd vocabulary. In Spain last Christmas I was asking for juice and kept saying jugo. My sister kept asking me “what?” until she finally said, “oh zumo!” 🤦🏼‍♀️

About me - I am a born and raised Montanan, who explored the big city in Seattle for six years. I got a degree in photography. My main hobbies are playing video games, reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons (actually pretty much any tabletop/board game) and spending time with my friends.

I would love to become friends with someone in the queer community, being a member myself. I would also prefer to not start talking about American politics as I am mentally exhausted worrying about it already.

I’m not sure how the process works in the sense of, do I only send Spanish, and you respond in English, or do we give corrections? I would love some guidance.
