Hello!

I just recently started dating someone Chinese who does not speak English. We have been communicating through translation apps while we both learn each other’s language. So I am looking for someone to chat with, preferably video chat, who can teach me some things while I teach you some English!

The first and main thing I am running into that is a problem is how different expressions are in English versus Chinese. Like in English I could tell her she is “hot” to mean attractive, but this does not translate as such in Chinese it seems. That is a crude example but the best that came to mind.

I am trying to write her birthday card with my limited Chinese, but the nice things I would like to say to her I am worried won’t sound nice in Chinese, or worse, won’t make sense at all.

So I guess I am looking for a woman who speaks Chinese who can help me know what a Chinese woman would like to see in their birthday card from their significant other.

After that I would love to keep chatting and helping each other perfect the language!
