I'm an older man (native speaker of United States English) who would like to use the "crosstalk" method to learn Spanish in writing (email or text chat, not audio or video). I'm fairly knowledgeable and skilled in the idioms, vocabulary, spelling and grammar of United States English, and prefer to learn Spanish as it is spoken in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central or South America.

I am an older gay man who is not religious, so would feel most comfortable learning from a native Spanish speaker who is similar in age and characteristics. Because I'm older, I'm slower, so my emails or chat messages may not be as frequent, long or intensive as those of other persons, but I have a fairly strong desire to learn and improve my understanding of Spanish, and can probably help a person wishing to learn idiomatic and grammatically correct English as it is spoken and written in the United States.

Using the crosstalk method, we would each write in our own native language and offer translations and notes regarding idiomatic usage, alternative methods of expressing the same idea(s) in different words, as well as vocabulary and grammar, to the other person.

Thank you! :)
