Hi! My name is Emily and I am a 30-year-old woman living in the US. I have a long history of studying Spanish but have struggled to stay consistent with my learning over the years so my level is much lower than what I wish it was! After over a year of online Spanish lessons, I am pretty comfortable identifying as a B1 speaker at this point. I am working with my tutor on grammar, but I need more practice with conversation. I am very used to my tutor’s accent and pacing, but when I hear Spanish spoken by my neighbors or friends, I struggle to understand and keep up.

I am am a cat-loving, feminist vegan, who has worked primarily as an educator and volunteer coordinator in the non-profit sector. I like talking about hobbies, politics, movies, books, animals & pets, daily life, and pretty much everything in between! I’m very flexible in terms of discussion topics. I just want to learn and have fun!
