Wanting to learn German. Complete beginner, besides the absolute basics i.e., hello, goodbye, Thank You, please, who, what, where, when, why, & how, 0-10, & that the basic German sentence order is SVO (subject, verb, object).

I have many friends who are German or are from a country that speaks a variant of German.

I don’t want to be the ignorant British person who only knows 1 language; our language system here is awful & makes the idea of wanting to learn other languages off putting.

Some topics of interest are: video games (mainly Nintendo but play others), computer science, DND & RPGs, horror, adventure, sci-fi, fantasy, reading, fitness, physical & mental health. Jazz & electro-swing are my favourite, but enjoy most music. Arts & crafts, currently learning crochet. Enjoy learning new things, learning to scuba dive now & get a small boat licence at some point.
