I've been seeing a lot of these types lately, and I think it's a great idea to not only break the ice but also learn things visually. For example, walking up to a tree in Minecraft and hearing 木 or needing food and handing my gaming buddy and language partner a 苹果 or 牛排.
I'm 17F born in 广东 but adopted and living in the USA. I turn 18 in June. I'm on track to getting my BFA in Acting right now, and I like playing Minecraft, chatting, singing, musical theatre, piano, and acting. I want to practice my Mandarin because it's important to me that I stay connected with my heritage. I'm most interested in colloquial and native language and slang, so I would prefer a native speaker!
I can also help with English, and I have tutored beginner Mandarin, so I could also teach beginner English. I also am conversational in French and had little issue when I went to France (NOT PARIS) getting around and speaking with people.
I also can just offer friendship and a gaming buddy. Please don't be creepy, though!
I am currently learning English and I can help you with Chinese, if you are interested, please dm me
Are you still looking for someone to practice Mandarin with? I’m 18f from Beijing, I could help
omg yeah, i'm 18 now, so let's connect!
Heyyy I’m a native speaker of Mandarin and fluent speaker of English. I LOVEEE Minecraft. DM me if you’re interested
I can offer, gaming buddy/friendship, and conversational Mandarin as well as Cantonese(Since you mentioned it's important to your heritage, as I believe in Guangdong most people speak Cantonese). I however am not native, but native in English and Norwegian. I'm currently learning and practicing Chinese. But it's always nice to have some conversations with people, to practice.
yes, my next step is to learn canto, but I'm planning to master mandarin first
