Hi. I'm 27M, with a lifelong interest in languages. For most of my life I've had limited capacity for pursuing that interest, but recently my life circumstances have changed dramatically, and I have a lot more energy to pursue my rusty languages and polish them up to a respectable level now. Other than languages, I'm interested in a lot of nerdy shit - I guess primarily history and anthropology, but also games, science, tech. In summary, I'm a nerd, I don't think there's a better way to put it. Professionally, I'm a programmer.
My native language is Norwegian, but I've used it so rarely in the past 7-8 years that I feel more fluent in English at this point, but I'm still at a C2 level in both.
I'm at around B1-B2 in German (formerly C1, long, long ago), B1 in Hungarian, and A2 in Czech. I want to polish up on all of them. Pronunciation is extremely important to me, and I want to eliminate my accent - if you're interested in phonetics and comfortable with the occasional voice call, that'd be great. I use Discord primarily.
Hei!
I'm also kind of a nerd, I guess. I love learning languages, but I have a thick Hungarian accent (which I don't really mind). I have master's degree in Hungarian language and literature, so I think I could help you with your Hungarian. I learn Norwegian, not fluent in conversation but have to start somewhere.
I'm not familiar with discord but probably I should try.
If you're still interested, let's talk!
Szia! autisticus_maximus a discord-nevem. Kéne, hogy csak magyarul vagy norvégül beszélünk.
You made me interested in what a B1 Hungarian sounds like. I'm comfortable with messaging or even voice chat either in English or Hungarian.
I have a Discord but I haven't used it that much... If you're interested PM me and we can figure it out.
