I have a workstation sink - not massively big as it is only 36" and I really like it. Mine is a copper farmhouse style with a "living patina".
That said I have a small urban kitchen and so I really like how it extends my work space since I can prep over the sink and also drain dishes and produce over the sink
It probably keeps my counters cleaner since I can prep over the sink - so items are washing and I have the cutting board that fits over the sink. I also have the cutting board with a cut out for a bowl which theoretically means I could sweep prepped veggies right into the bowl.
There are other useful accessories like a small ledge that attaches where I keep a sponge and similar objects.
Mine is an offset drain which means that I can stack dishes or soak pans on one half and the drain is still not covered. In my small kitchen it also enabled me to fit a pull out garbage bin under the sink whereas if the drain was in the middle my sink cabinet would essentially be wasted space.
