Wow, I admire your bravery. I used to have that, too. After you give the room a good scrubbing, figure out what your work triangle will be. Thats your sink, stove and fridge. Draw a floor plan to scale, like 1 inch equals 1 foot. Thats how you start, and i can give you more advice if you can post more pictures.
Do yourself a massive favor, and get an enzyme based wallpaper stripper. I used Zinzer on the walls in my home. I just stripped 75 year old, several layers thick wallpaper from three large rooms, a bathroom, and an entry.
I used, and rejected the following methods because they didnt work:
Vinegar and water - took off some of the paper but none of the glue
Fabric softener and water - took off some of the paper and some of the glue
Steamer - took off the paper and turned the glue into a goo that stuck to the scrapers and would NOT come off.
Invest a few dollars in a cheap garden sprayer, the kind you have to pump up, and spray the walls with the stripper solution. Wait for about 15 minutes. Spray again, and start scraping. Keep a wet area and scraping is much easier
Do NOT allow the solution to dry on the walls. It seems to both loosen the glue (when wet) but turn the glue to super glue if you let it get too dry.
