The truck is fried in more ways than one. But can possibly be repaired. But this is much less expensive than if the bed did not lower, the truck caught fire, and the electric line need replaced.
Actually an excellent teaching video on how electricity and grounding works. Better than some of the OSHA videos ive been forced into watching.
