Hi /r/ketorecipes, we wanted to take the chance to expound a bit more on the exact meaning of providing a recipe in plain text.

To be totally clear, what we are looking for with this rule is:

  • Not only linked elsewhere
    • Including a link to the source alongside the recipe is fine and encouraged!
  • Not included only in the title of the post
    • Titles have a character limit that often does not allow for the amount of detail a recipe requires, and cannot be edited
  • Not included only in an image, screenshot, or video
    • Some readers may have visual impairments and be unable to "read" images

This has always been the implicit spirit/meaning of the rule but we realized it was not as clear as it could be. The exact verbiage has been tweaked to indicated this.

  • Is there anyway you can make nutritional info and serving size a requirement??? Your thread is being peppered with recipes that link to outside websites and turn out to only be keto when you have 1/32 of a serving or something ridiculous!!

  • Yeah. Apparently I’m not smart.

  • Are we allowed to post recipe requests here or is there a better sub. For instance I’d love to cobble together some strawberry syrup that is sugar free but can include actual strawberries to make strawberry milk.

  • Not a very clarifying post. I really don’t understand what you are saying with all the “not”s and lack of full sentences

Add, “The recipe is” to most of them to clarify.

  • What about a good find like a low carb sauce or something? Not a recipe but a helper for all the folks out there

Product recommendations and general non-recipe "hacks" would be better suited over at /r/keto. We want to keep it recipe-centered here.

Ok thanks. I was a bit confused on exactly the location. The goal is to help. God knows I need it my friend!

Do you mind posting your chili recipe?
