I was looking at electrolytes, and saw that the powders are kind of expensive, plus I don't care much for stevia or monkfruit or any of those. I could mix my own, but I looked into capsules, and came across this one. (In case the link won't show - I'm not clear what the policy is here when someone is looking for advice on an online product - its ASIN is B07ZP2YJPG "Youth & Tonic Electrolyte Capsules") Seems like it has more going for it than the usual sodium/potassium/magnesium mix of the powders. But I wanted to get the group's take on this. Thanks.

225mg of MCT is like licking butter. A scoop of MCT oil powder is 10g - 60 calories, 8g fat aka 8000mg. Branding this thing as keto and adding acronyms like MCT with that number makes me hate the product already
Yes!
"licking butter" lol. Okay, sounds like the company might be going for buzzword ingredients. I switched my order to the Dr Berg ones, which seem straightforward.
Berg is a quack who shills overpriced junk.
Salt, salt substitute, and a magnesium supplement is all you need, and very cheap.
Check out nutricost 4-in-1 bhb salts. I haven't tried a lot of stuff but that's the one I've been using every morning for the 42 days of keto. Haven't felt keto flu or had keto smells, I'm under 20g carbs every day.
I also use generic Gatorade zero packets
That looks interesting. Thanks for the tip.
Anything above sodium potassium and magnesium is extra. Some extra is OK, like flavors to make it go down, but really... All electrolytes are is sodium potassium and magnesium. And realistically you need only the first two in a drink.
Thanks for the clarification.
My wife and I have been on keto for over 10 years. We never used any electrolytes per se. We just salt our food. We eat only real food. It works for us.
just buy single ingredient bulk electrolytes it’s much cheaper than any of these blends you can buy and no worries about the ‘extra’ ingredients
morton salt substitute and salt in propel is amazing to me and super easy pretty affordable too if you buy in bulk
I drink Propel. I hydrate more and get excellent electrolytes.
Mortons lite salt and a bottle of Magnesium citrate solution cost together under $5 and make months worth of electroltyes. It's all the same elements, just marketing that gets people to buy what should be cheap.
Is the Morton lite salt all potassium chloride, or half potassium and half salt?
It's 50/50 sodium chloride (salt) and potassium chloride.
I take magnesium glycinate at night and a magnesium blend in the morning, both capsules with some calcium. Sodium is PHS and 'salt free' is potassium. Been using these my 8 years keto and zero issues.
