My interactions with Amazon is complicated. It always ends up with money changing hands from me to Bezos. I finally gave up in my latest struggle so I'm looking for an used Kindle Fire that I can register to my Japanese Amazon account. True, I can. It's just a bit cumbersome to hold up a laptop while lieing down with my wife and dog. They totally dislike it. So a Kindle is my preferred solution. Thanks for responding.

If your Kindle is very old and no longer supported you cannot register. I made the mistake of attempting that with my original one and now own a black brick. I own another that was purchased with a discount that shows ads. So to answer your questions YES.
