And let’s also not pretend like Maduro isn’t a dictator and evil person, he’s been ruling Venezuela for over a decade now… but like most things MAGA does, may seem valiant on paper but also has hidden motivations, this post seems vaguely pro-Maduro
The people telling you he's a dictator are trying to invade Venezuela for oil. Don't you see the connection there? Maybe you should question the motivations of the US instead.
How many times are dumbasses going to fall for the “these people are dictators/terrorists so we need to bomb them” nonsense. You’re tricked by the same thing over and over and it’s so damn frustrating to watch happen over and over again.
You’re helping them turn “Should we bomb this innocent/sovereign country” into a polite dinner table political discussion. That shit ain’t cool. Stop it.
For the record I also oppose interventions and bombings. That being said just because the US has ulterior and imperialistic motives, which must be opposed, doesn’t mean he isn’t a dictator and an overall terrible leader
Bold to assume I like her either, because I don’t. I’ve been a detractor of her’s basically the day she got the prize for being a Zionist and a neoliberal.
Why? Should a benevolent dictator, and to be clear that's not what I'm calling Maduro, be jailed just because they what? Are in power for life? Have absolute control? Venezuela has a similar organization to us. Executive, elected congressional body, supreme court system. Does none of that matter because the executive can stay for longer then some other nations?
To you, what makes a dictator bad, in and of itself. Would you call a morally good dictator bad as well?
Do not pretend like I do not believe the current American administration does not deserve jail for life (edit: or most american administrations that have ever “graced” the fed)
The same reasons were used to invade Iraq and what do you know, it wasn't about any of that just oil, how many times will you fall for the same lies from the same people. Besides, why do Americans feel we have the right to remove any leadership or tell anyone how to live, we support genocide in zionist Isreal and we elect pedophiles to run the country
So what, even if all of what you said is true - it does not legitimize the US actions and has never done so.
It is always the same playbook with the imperialists - as if the US warhawks give a sh*t about venezuelan people being opressed by some diatator or fascist
No Venezuelan has ever harmed me. The claim they send drugs to the USA are lies. It's not happening. If there is corruption or disagreements in their government, that is for the people of Venezuela to decide and deal with. They also have freedom to conduct trade with anyone they want, and stealing their ships is just piracy.
No. This is about the US getting its ducks in a row so they can attempt to fight the Chinese empire in a battle for hegemony. China is Venezuela's second biggest trading partner and it's a very important trading partner for China because of the oil and crude it provides. I wouldn't really call it a coincidence that the US wants to install a Zionist after overthrowing the nominally anti-zionist Maduro, but the Zionism definitely isn't the main objective
It's all about resources like oil, but we can't ignore that its "replacement," a Nobel Prize winner for non-peace (the same one who calls for the bombing and invasion of his own country, among other gems), is fucking ultra-Zionist.
As a South American who loves his continent: Maduro is a filthy dictator.
1/5 of the Venezuelan population is in self exile because he managed to transform one of the world's largest oil producers into a banana republic.
While Chávez still had a plan, Maduro is the pure essence of populism, pouring thousands of dollars into the pockets of generals and commanders of the armed forces to stay in power. He has no plan, no direction, and offer no future to Venezuela.
The elections in Venezuela are sham, and the Venezuelan people deserve much better than Maduro, and as much as I am pro-Palestine (and I am hard boiled pro palestinan), I find it nauseating to pat a dictator on the head just because he uses Palestinian symbols.
I want for Palestine the same freedom that I want for Venezuela.
Regardless, you can see that the U.S. has no interest in the future of Venezuela whatsoever, you can see that U.S. intervention has been nothing but calamitous for Latin America, you can see that the U.S. has long played a role in destroying the country by seizing its exports and sanctioning it… right? Maduro is bad but there is no way in hell this should give way to this apathetic alternativism.
Although the US has had quite a bit of sway in South American elections, in the last 20-30 years it's much less, partly because several governments not aligned with the US have been elected, such as Lula in Brazil, Michelle Bachelet and Boric in Chile, Petros in Colombia, Maduro and Morales in Venezuela and Bolivia respectively.
But Venezuelan elections are completely unreliable.
If Venezuelan elections are unreliable, ask those other elected presidents their registries like they were hipocritically asking Maduro for the register of his votes. You're falling for a narrative. Ask Trump or Lula for the registry of their votes and see if they hand you over.
Lula to this day is a complete US lackey, inclusive helping the UN intervention in Haiti in 2004, vetoed Venezuela entering the BRICS for Biden, now he is twerking on the lap of Trump while the US deepens intervention, the US bails out Milei while the far right is still in power unellected in Peru, regime of exception in Ecuador, now there is a new right wing wave with Paz in Bolivia, Kast being favorite in Chile, face It, South America is turning fascist and Maduro is the main target right now, all slander of him and Venezuela help the imperialist with their goal, we should stand in support of Venezuela for freedom and self-determination of Nations.
Acabei de ver no perfil que você é brasileiro, por favor considere o acima.
There certainly is truth to that, in addition to wanting oil and general US imperialism in Latin America. Having said that, he still sucks and is a disaster to his country and people
Except for the fact that what he's wearing doesn't at all remotely resemble a keffiyeh...
With all the bullshit flying around in the media regarding Venezuela I don't know how anybody can form a reasonable and even moderately informed opinion at this point...
Ben Norton covered this recently. The primary reason they are targeting Venezuela is because they have run a number of simulations that show that we would be unsuccessful in any attempt to wage war against China because we have sold out all of our industrial base to them.
For this reason we are going to attack South America and try to make it an industrial base so that China can’t surpass us and so we can muster the strength to eventually wage a war for Taiwan, because they make chips or something. South America, including Venezuela are simply the most susceptible to regime change and they have a number of resources and there have been a ton of operations that have been successful before and they are a great distance from the new economic block that has been formed.
The U.S. is just moving on demon time, and they are going to make hell for a number of South American, Central American, and Caribbean countries in the foreseeable future. This was laid out in some document released by the White House. It just starts with Venezuela but this will prove to be a pattern as the U.S. tries desperately to ensure its dominance, though I really don’t think it will be successful considering how our financial system is proving to be in an ever more precarious position. We’ll see though because our military is just on some demon shit
Something tells me wearing the keffiyeh is actually a tactic, to make him seem like a martyr for Palestine in case something happens to him, whether he actually cares or not.
I mean, it's definitely because of oil.
Yes and no.
They definitely want the oil.
But...
Even after Maduro offered it to Trump that didn't stop him from continuing to threaten war.
It's always a way to bully Brics (particularly Brazil) indirectly for not having let Venezuela join.
Both things can be true at the same time
How many times are dumbasses going to fall for the “these people are dictators/terrorists so we need to bomb them” nonsense. You’re tricked by the same thing over and over and it’s so damn frustrating to watch happen over and over again.
You’re helping them turn “Should we bomb this innocent/sovereign country” into a polite dinner table political discussion. That shit ain’t cool. Stop it.
Maduro and his cronies ARE terrorists and maduro IS a dictator
Far-right imperialist bullshit meant to justify murder and occupation, no different from hasbara
I'm venezuelan vro I know better than those far right imperialists
For the record I also oppose interventions and bombings. That being said just because the US has ulterior and imperialistic motives, which must be opposed, doesn’t mean he isn’t a dictator and an overall terrible leader
A full 91% of Venezuelans find the opposition leader, who is a zionist, won the Nobel Peace Prize, and wants the USA to invade her country and install her, unfavorable
A direct link to the poll, though there are multiple polls listed in that article.
The only Venezuelans who support her are gusanos, period.
Bold to assume I like her either, because I don’t. I’ve been a detractor of her’s basically the day she got the prize for being a Zionist and a neoliberal.
Right and the people calling Putin a dictator are just trying to overthrow the last “For Russia!” leader… ur joking right?
Putin is not a socialist. Him and Maduro have a completely different class politics.
Who said socialist..? 😢
You're implying they're the same. I'm explaining how they're in fact not the same.
Nobody said socialist, I’m saying all dictators are the same, they need to go to prison Includes trump, btw
Yeah, this is your brain on horseshoe theory.
Why? Should a benevolent dictator, and to be clear that's not what I'm calling Maduro, be jailed just because they what? Are in power for life? Have absolute control? proletariat dictators be not the same
Okay bootlicker, enjoy that tasty sole down your throat when you say “b-b-but you were only suppose to arrest the people WE disagree with”
Imagine still falling for US propaganda in 2025, fucking hell man
Imagine being unable to read past the first 5 words before foaming at the mouth on your keyboard
Yeah your whole paragraph is weird.
I have no idea who “we” are, or who you’re referring to when saying “you”, but you don’t know me or anything I believe, stop inciting dissent
So what, even if all of what you said is true - it does not legitimize the US actions and has never done so. It is always the same playbook with the imperialists - as if the US warhawks give a sh*t about venezuelan people being opressed by some diatator or fascist

Ill be concerned about central and Southern american people exporting drugs when we take the Meth problems in the US seriously first
No. This is about the US getting its ducks in a row so they can attempt to fight the Chinese empire in a battle for hegemony. Who is his replacement???
Maria Machado. She’s been vocally begging for US to wage war on Venezuela, depose Maduro and install her in his place
She is an ultra Zionist?
Never even denied it. It's all out there.
Is that why princess Diana was eliminated? 🤔

Once again: A full 91% of Venezuelans find the opposition leader, who is a zionist, won the Nobel Peace Prize, and wants the USA to invade her country and install her, unfavorable
A direct link to the poll, though there are multiple polls listed in that article.
The only Venezuelans who support her are gusanos, period.
Fake news dawg

Maduro is not a dictator, elections in general in SA are shams handpicked by the US (look at Argentina)
That's bullshit.

I did not know this about Lula that is sad to hear
Finally someone gets it, thank you. May both Palestine and Venezuela be free from both foreign imperialism and domestic tyranny 🩷🇵🇸🇻🇪
