I fully agree. Iran would transition to democracy on its own if it wasn't isolated and under constant attack. It's not like Russia where the people don't care and don't want democracy, the Iranian people want it and all they need is an environment where regime change doesn't equate a failed state.

I have been seeing videos of people in the streets asking for US help, making signs asking for Trump to intervene, and marking street signs with his name and even a few murals. Are you in Iran right now? Why wouldn’t they want help knocking back the IRGC, they are apparently killing hundreds of civilians with zero signs of stopping. I’d think at this point help from anyone would be better than continuing to live under the thumb of Khamenei. I don’t like Trump but who cares who is in office if they can potentially increase the chances of success. The civilians can do it without any outside help but it would likely mean a lot more death, staying the course and fighting back when forces show up. The military needs to either switch sides, quit or flee for success.

but if you look at statements coming from Trump and ghouls like Lindsey Graham and Mike Pompeo, it does seem like we are trying to provoke the Iranian government into giving them an excuse for a regime change operation
