Last they saw Kikyo she tried to kill Kagome (at least half-heartedly), took the shards from Kagome, left her to a nightmare, and gave the shards to Naraku. Who proceeded to try to kill Inuyasha and Kagome (twice) since that happened.
He didn't even get a full explanation, just "Yeah I gave them to him, but to destroy him". Then he's confused when Kagome is upset like bestie ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
This isn't even the slightest about jealousy, even Kagome is just thinking of how Inuyasha almost died twice because of Kikyo. What is everyone on ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

But I feel like kagome wasn't mad for the right reasons. she yelled it inuyasha bc she didn't wanna tell on kikyo.. like let's talk about how inuyasha just let kikyo go, took her sh1tty behind explanation seriously, and got mad when she got mad. like wdym "well, what was I supposed to do?" He doesn't have to demonize her to admit that it doesn't look good- or even not go to her alone while half dead. She DID look like she'd tried to kill Kagome last time they met, and Kagome had been terrified at the time. Not a good look for her.
And I mean, she gave Naraku the jewel shards. With no clear explanation (how does making him stronger help defeat him? <- as one argument) of course everyone (and especially Kagome) is upset.

That’s the thing, Inuaysha doesn’t feel the same way about Kikyo as the others. That’s why it gets annoying when people act like he should view Kikyo the same way Kagome does, or Sango and Miroku.
He knows Kikyo doesn’t want to kill him or them, and that she wants to kill Naraku. He has no reason to believe that she randomly decided that she wants to kill then all and help Naraku get what he wants after all that he didn
He doesn't know that at this point though? He believed as well that she tried to kill Kagome. She'd already tried to drag him to hell once as well. He feels guilty for his hand in her death so he'll go to her no matter what.
But it's one thing to go to her and endanger himself, and another to defend her despite the harm she did to the others. And even more ridiculous for him to not understand why the others would be upset by him defending someone that appears to want Kagome dead and Inuyasha in hell with her.
So he fully believes that Kikyo wants to kill them all, and would work with Naraku to kill them all? And no he won’t go to her no matter what unless he’s also willing to be killed by her, which we know he’s not. And even if he is, how come kikyo has never did it after the first time.
They get mad at Inuyasha no matter what when it comes to Kikyo. He knows they don’t like kikyo and demonizes him whenever it comes to her no matter what it is. He’ll be sad and they’ll be mad at him because, how dare he be sad about kikyo in front of Kagome.
Also, this goes to show that None of them really have a good opinion about kikyo in the first place. They went, yeah Naraku killed her and betrayed her. But she hates inuaysha so she’ll work with her murderer for some reasonÂ
I mean... Yeah that's what it looks like. We know she gave Naraku the jewel shard she stole from Kagome (during an act that looked and Sounded like her trying to kill Kagome, she didn't even deny it when asked) and Naraku is now more powerful. And she doesn't explain this beyond saying it's part of a plan.
Inuyasha has no defense for her beyond "she wouldn't do that" even though at this time all evidence points to her doing that.
So far all their interactions have ended with her trying to drag Inuyasha to hell, or having threatened Kagome. Or Both.
She's not the Kikyo she was in life anymore, she's held in this world (by her own admission) out of hate and spite. We're not at the point in the story where Kikyo has proven that she doesn't just desire revenge anymore and she's certainly not shown any positive emotions towards any of them... Unless you count her obsession towards dying with Inuyasha.
What you said is true, but I just wanted to say an important detail from the manga. In the manga Inuyasha doesn't know that Kikyo tried to kill Kagome. In that chapter of the manga Naraku had everyone trapped in the roots under his spell of illusionary death and since Kagome was immune to the spell, Naraku opended a hole in the ground with miasma at the bottom so that Kagome would die and her body would dissolve, leaving only the jewel shards. But then Kikyo appears and her soul collectos were holding Kagome in the air. Kagome thinks that Kikyo is going to save her, but she only steals the fragments and order her soul collectos to drop Kagome back into the hole to die. However, when Kagome was falling she manages to grab onto a branch and then Inuyasha arrives. When Inuyasha arrives, Kikyo says that she just took the jewel shards from Kagome because Naraku had tried to kill Kagome to get those shards and then she leaves. Inuyasha didn't fully believe in what Kikyo said and then he asks to Kagome if Kikyo had done anything to her, but Kagome thought that she couldn't tell Inuyasha that Kikyo had tried to kill her because it would be like interfering between them, so Kagome didn't say anything to Inuyasha. In the anime Kikyo openly says to Inuyasha that she tried to kill Kagome but in the manga, which is the canon, Kikyo also tried to kill Kagome but she lies saying she just took the shards because Naraku was after Kagome's life to get them. In the manga, Kikyo is more deceitful and manipulative.This is one of the most badly adapted chapters for the anime.
Yeah it is a shame that they failed to properly adapt that. It would be interesting to see for sure.
Alas, it is manga canon vs the show canon. My commentary is specifically about the show so the show canon is the relevant bit for the scene.
But Inuyasha knows Kikyo won’t team up with Naraku. He knows this because why would he think Kikyo would suddenly be okay with her murdered. Why would inuyasha think kikyo would suddenly decided that her murderer is a good a person and actually inuaysha was the problem and she wants to kill him an all his friendsÂ
So against your prior statement, you wanted him to demonize her with everyone else. Because that’s what everyone else is doing. They are demonizing kikyo because they don’t know her. Why should inuyasha just nod and agree and go, you’re right, she totally sided with her murder, she’s a bad person.
Duh she’s not the same Kikyo, she was betrayed and murdered by Naraku. Kikyo knows this and Inuyasha knows kikyo knows this. So unless he notes that kikyo changed so much that she simply just hates him and is okay with naraku murdering her, then this doesn’t work

It’s pretty much, Inuyasha had no reason to think Kikyo wasn’t working with Naraku, he should have just listened to his friends who already dislike kikyo and believe them when they said she was a terrible personÂ

No I've seen the whole thing. I'm rewatching it with a friend right now, it's their first time watching it though. The last time I watched it was when I was in Middle School, which was ages ago. So I've been noticing a lot of things that I'd either forgotten or just didn't care about in Middle School. Alas, I have few friends who know/like Inuyasha so my commentary must go here haha.
